Rumours that a feud has been jeopardising Brand Beckham have been rumbling on for several weeks now – and heat has heard it’s all come to a head at the worst possible time, with a lavish family celebration planned for David Beckham’s upcoming milestone birthday.

The conflict is thought to have been sparked by David and Victoria Beckham’s second son Romeo, 22, dating DJ Kim Turnbull, 24, who is rumoured to have been romantically linked to eldest Beckham boy Brooklyn, 25, before he married Nicola Peltz in 2022. Brooklyn and Nicola are said to be refusing to go to family events if Kim is present and are questioning whether she has the ‘right intentions’ for dating Romeo –who’s now furious at his brother for interfering in his relationship.

And now, heat has learned that the lead-up to David’s big celebrations – he turns 50 on 2 May, and is believed to have hired out a London Michelin-starred restaurant to host a dinner for family and close friends – has been tainted for former Spice Girl Vic, who issued some stern words to her firstborn. We’re told, ‘Vic gave an ultimatum to Brooklyn ahead of David's 50th: he needs to grow up and start acting like the eldest son. His and Nicola’s behaviour has been really infuriating for Vic and David, and they have made it very clear that they did not want this to cause drama around David’s 50th. It’s caused so much unnecessary hurt and rows already.’

The source continues, ‘Brooklyn and Nicola have given their own ultimatum: that they won't attend any event if Kim’s there. It got slapped down by David, who told Brooklyn that he was out of line and should only be thinking about showing up at his dad's birthday. While Vic is usually the peacemaker, this has pushed her over the limit. She's told Brooklyn to stop with all the drama. It’s caused a huge rift between the brothers, with Cruz taking Romeo’s side.’

While Romeo and Kim; third Beckham sibling Cruz, 20, his girlfriend Jackie Apostel, 29; and the Beckhams’ only daughter Harper, 13, all marked David’s 50th at an early birthday celebration in Miami earlier this month, Brooklyn and Nicola were notably absent. The US-based couple then later sent the rumour mill into overdrive, after they failed to acknowledge Vic’s 51st birthday on Insta, but instead shared highlights from Coachella. The Beckham matriarch also raised eyebrows for not wishing her son and daughter-in-law a happy third wedding anniversary – with the rest of the family also ignoring it on social media.

It is not the first time a feud has exploded. Shortly after Brooklyn and Nicola, 30, got hitched, it was reported that Vic and her daughter-in-law had clashed over the bride’s decision not to wear a VB-designed wedding dress. But the two eventually patched up their relationship, with Brooklyn and Nicola spending notably more time with his family, including at public events such as the Beckham documentary premiere and Victoria’s 50th birthday last year.

That was until recent rumours of another clash have threatened the family once again. A source claimed of former footballing ace David that it would ‘absolutely destroy him if any fall-outs carry on and become big deals,’ adding, ‘It would be the best birthday present ever for David to have all of his children and their partners happily having a wonderful time together. That's what really puts a smile on his face.'

And our source reveals that David and Vic are done with the tension. ‘After the drama of the wedding, the Beckhams were desperate to bring peace back, as it broke their hearts not seeing enough of Brooklyn. But over the last few years, things are just getting tiresome,’ we’re told.

‘David and Victoria are just trying to take deep breaths and rise above it. They made it very clear to Brooklyn and Nicola that the birthday celebrations would not be the same without them, and that it would deeply hurt David if they don't attend. At the same time, they can't take any more of this unnecessary drama – turning 50 is a big landmark for David, and it's about him, not them.’
