It’s been a memorable summer for Victoria Beckham – but for all the wrong reasons. After hoping to reconcile with her estranged son Brooklyn following their family fallout, the designer was left devastated after finding out the entire Beckham clan had been left out of his secret vow renewal to wife Nicola Peltz.
And now, sources tell heat that VB could be dealt yet more heartache as second son Romeo is preparing to move out of their £31million London home – and she’s terrified that history will repeat itself and she could end up losing another boy.
‘The Brooklyn and Nicola situation is just relentless at the moment and the vow renewal really rubbed salt in the wounds,’ an insider tells heat. ‘Vic’s trying to stay strong, but it’s caused so much hurt. And, what’s making things worse is it’s looking like Romeo’s about to move out again.’

Romeo had briefly lived in his own flat with his ex Mia Regan, but he has largely lived back at home since they split early last year. The source continues, ‘Vic has really enjoyed having him there – he’s been a huge support. But he’s just turned 23, and feels he needs to move on and have his own space. The fallout with Brooklyn has been very hard on him as well, as he feels guilty about leaving. He doesn’t want to cause his parents any more stress, but he can’t stay at home forever.’
As heat previously reported, Victoria, 51, ‘broke down sobbing’ when she saw photos of her eldest son’s shock vow renewal, which took place on the Peltz’s New York estate just three years after Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola, 30, first tied the knot in Miami. Our source said, ‘Vic was heartbroken and spent about two hours crying on the phone to her mum, trying to find the words to express the pain she felt.’

The feud is thought to have started back at Brooklyn and Nicola’s first wedding back in 2022, when Nicola opted not to wear a VB-designed dress. Brooklyn and Nicola then proceeded to distance themselves from the Beckhams before matters came to a head earlier this year, with the couple notably missing every one of David’s 50th birthday celebrations, before cutting off all public contact.
In June, Brooklyn seemed to send a clear message that he saw the US as his home by buying a £7.8m property in LA. His 20-year-old brother Cruz – who is loved-up with music producer Jackie Apostel, 29 – also lives mostly in LA, where he is focusing on his music career. And now that Romeo is set to move out, we’re told VB is becoming increasingly worried about how empty their home will feel with just Harper, 14, left living there.

‘Cruz is spending much more time in LA and Vic feels very alone sometimes,’ says our insider. ‘Harper is there, but she starts her GCSEs this year and is becoming more independent. Vic is really struggling.’
But it isn’t just fear of an empty nest that is causing her so much stress – our source says she fears the potential for a new family feud. ‘Her biggest fear is that Romeo meets a girl who is based in another country, meaning he could also move abroad. Both she and David would love him to meet somebody like Mia again, just a nice girl from a good family who has no need to cause drama or try to act superior. She can’t bear the thought of going through what’s she’s been through with Brooklyn again.’
VB and Romeo have always shared a special bond. On his 21st birthday, she described Romeo as ‘the sweetest, kindest and most generous soul’. Our insider says, ‘Victoria and Romeo have always been close. Before Harper was born, they used to joke that Romeo was the daughter Victoria never had. She knows she would really struggle if she lost that closeness.’
