It can be hard for anyone to rake over the past, especially when that past includes fame, fallouts, and alleged cheating. But Victoria Beckham is currently preparing to do just that, as filming for her Netflix documentary enters its seventh month of production.
Although news of a docuseries had Spice Girls fans all over the world renewing their Netflix subscriptions, we’ll have to wait until mid-2025 to see the end result. But it transpires the show may be a lot more revealing than anyone expected – even the producers. And while the series will focus on her role as a business owner and mother to Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 19, and Harper, 13, according to insiders, it will also delve into her and husband David’s marriage.
‘Filming is continuing on Victoria’s documentary and it’s a lot more emotional than producers originally thought it would be,’ we’re told. ‘Over the years, Victoria has learnt not to really show her emotions and to make a joke out of things that have hurt her, but she really trusts the crew and she wants to show off her life warts-and-all. She has really opened up.’

The mum of four – who has been at the helm of her own fashion line since 2008 – is expected to talk openly about the tough times in her marriage, including David’s highly publicised alleged affair with his former personal assistant, Rebecca Loos. The pair reportedly had a four-month fling back in 2003, after David moved to Spain to play for Real Madrid.
At the time of the supposed relationship, Victoria had yet to move full-time to the Spanish capital and was still living in the UK with a then-four-year old Brooklyn and one-year-old Romeo. The following year – after the alleged affair ended – Rebecca gave a tell-all interview, claiming, ‘The chemistry between David and I was so strong, and people were not happy because I was being very unprofessional and he’s a married man. It was like magnets, pretty amazing.’
She said they first slept together after they ‘connected’ on a night out with pals, and divulged they had been exchanging flirty messages up until two weeks before the story came out. Ten years after David’s transgression, Rebecca admitted, ‘I could have gone about it in a kinder way. I don’t regret speaking out, but I regret the way I went about it.’

And this wasn’t the only rumoured affair that plagued the Beckhams’ early marriage. In 2004, model Sarah Marbeck came forward, claiming she’d also had a sexual relationship with the footballer, followed quickly by Celina Laurie, who said she’d had a one-night stand with him back in 2002. A fourth woman, shop owner Danielle Heath, came forward in 2004, but David released a statement insisting nothing took place.
To this day, David, 49, denies being unfaithful to his wife, 50, but has spoken about the toll the rumours took on his marriage at the time. The former England captain touched on the scandal in his 2023 Netflix documentary, Beckham, but stopped short of saying Rebecca’s name, only discussing the effect of the headlines on his family, saying, ‘There were some horrible stories that were difficult to deal with.’ He added, ‘Victoria is everything to me, to see her hurt was incredibly difficult. But we’re fighters and at that time, we needed to fight for each other – we needed to fight for our family.”
For her part, Victoria opened up more when she was interviewed on Beckham, revealing the couple ‘were against each other’. She said, ‘It was the hardest period [of our marriage], because it felt like the world was against us. Here’s the thing – we were against each other if I’m being completely honest… It didn’t really feel like we had each other. And that’s sad. I can’t even begin to tell you how hard it was and how it affected me. It was a nightmare.’

After watching his documentary, Rebecca was less-than complimentary of David’s account of their reported relationship. She said, ‘It’s all, “poor me”. He needs to take some responsibility,’ adding, ‘I understand he has an image to preserve, but he is portraying himself as the victim and he’s making me look like a liar, like I’ve made up these stories.’
But it seems that Victoria will be using her own docuseries to address the Rebecca incident head-on – knowing their marriage is secure enough to re-examine the past and survive.
A source says, ‘Obviously, David’s cheating scandal with Rebecca Loos has been brought up, and Vic’s a lot more open about it than David was in his show. There were a lot of tears. It was the toughest time of her life, and it still hurts to talk about. But they’re so strong now that she can be open, and producers are thrilled with how it’s going.’
Aside from talking about David, Victoria will also be shedding some light on her days in the Spice Girls – and all the fights and feuds that come with life in a girlband. The insider says, ‘Viewers will get to see the person behind Posh and all her highs and lows. She’ll discuss all the difficult times with the Spice Girls, as well as everything they achieved.’
