The past 24 hours have been an absolute ride; from Sophie Hermann blagging chief bridesmaid duties toTom Zanetti being assigned Best Man; but it seems the fairytale was just that as a friend confirmed the whole thing was a 'wind up.'
There's a few real winners here. Namely all the brands Chloe posted #ads for straight after the shock 'announcement.' That's song STRONG audience engagement.

Confirming to The Sun that the situation that shook the nation was, indeed, a very elaborate prank, a pal of the Celebs Go Dating: The Mansion star said, "Wayne is a real joker and this is exactly his kind of humour.
“He’s told people it was just a wind up over text. He and Chloe are definitely not engaged.
“They got on really well when they met in Celebs Go Dating and will be mates for life.”
Oh we KNEW, didn't we?

Despite Celebs Go Dating the Mansion being rife with rumours of celeb pairings, it was superstar DJ Tom Zanetti and Made in Chelsea heiress Sophie Hermann who made a go of things. Viewers watched the pair flirt their way through the series before finally being set up on a date by Pau and Anna, with Anna telling Closer exclusively that "if a celeb starts to gravitate toward another celebrity, it is something we explore but we also try and keep them on the path of dating regular folk as well."

In more reality-telly-related news, Zara McDermott's made the shock decision to quit Made in Chelsea, telling The Sun's TV Mag, "I've left. Sam [Thompson]'s still in.
"I would like to do more documentaries. I’m bursting with ideas and I think I surprised myself," she explained.
"I was obviously nervous, a year ago. I enjoyed that gratification of helping people. That’s my goal for this year and next year. No more reality TV, it’s hard on the soul."
