If you thought listening to Khaled's sofa 'stories' – avec American accents – was a boring pastime, try living in the Big Brother house 24/7.

As exciting as each evening's highlights show makes the experience seem, according to recently-evicted housemate Martha Church, actually living within those famous walls is far from entertaining, and viewers aren't seeing how much time housemates spend sitting around doing f**k all.

At least when they're doing f**k all on Love Island, they've got a pool, sun loungers and, well, the sun. In the Big Brother 2024 house, they're doing f**k all under British grey skies. Not a slay, as our recently-evicted queen would say.

Reminiscing about her weeks in the Big Brother house, Martha revealed that although the edit might look like it's all riotous rows, rule breaks and trialsome tasks 24/7, that's far from the truth; in fact, a huge chunk of the Big Brother experience is just 'sitting about' and waiting, and worse still, 'anxiously waiting' for the next bombshell to drop, according to the Big Brother star.

Martha exclusively told heatworld, ‘It’s a lot of sitting about. What people don’t see is it’s a lot of sitting about. You’re not getting your 10K steps. You’re just sort of sitting and waiting – having anxiety waiting.

‘It’s a long day – people don’t realise. You see the hour, but you’re awake for about 19 of those hours.’

Martha entered the house on day one, and was the fourth housemate evicted from the house at the hands of Evil Head of House Emma Morgan during that brutal Halloween game in the garden. In the end, Martha was evicted from the house through the backdoor - something she has described to heatworld as 'iconic'.

Speaking of the experience, Martha revealed, 'It was kind of an iconic way [to go home], if I'm being honest. I kind of felt in my soul that I'm not meant to have a normal eviction process. I actually feel so good. I had an amazing three weeks in there, but I was missing home things. I was missing being able to shower when I wanted, have a coffee, have a sleep.'

She continued, 'It was obviously a weird 24 hours, while you're sort of adjusting to all these people suddenly being around you, but I feel so good.'
