What would a Big Brother series be without an epic – and totally unexpected – love story? Well, for Big Brother 2024, it would be 80 percent just Lily Benson screaming and breaking rules on a loop. Last year, we were gifted with the love story that was (and still is) Jordan Sangha and Henry Southan, and for the 2024 series, that storyline belongs to Nathan King and Rosie Williams (aka Baked Potato - can we stop calling her that now?).
Literally no one – not even Big Brother with all his eyes and ears – could've seen this unexpected love story coming, but it soon became one of the biggest talking points of the latest series; one that utterly stunned housemates and fans alike.
Things got so intense between the pair, that they made their relationship official – Love Island style – inside the Big Brother house, and they're even planning a holiday together once the series has wrapped.
Rosie was, of course, evicted from the house via Big Brother's Vault earlier this week (with Nathan still in the running to win the thing), so naturally, when we got the chance to quiz Rosie about her new relationship one-on-one we unleashed a tirade of questions – mostly themed around the word, 'Huh?'
During the candid chat, Rosie opened up about Tory Nathan's very different political views (views her parents, especially, do not agree with). She exclusively told heatworld, 'I don't think I could ever agree [with him]. He even said, "If I run for a politician, would you vote for me?" NO. There's no way in hell. Don't be so silly. I would never.'
Rosie continued, It's going to have to be an agree to disagree thing. We're never going to see eye to eye on that, [him and my parents] are never going to see eye to eye on that, but there's loads of other nice qualities about him.'
The Big Brother housemate made it very clear that her parents were the furthest things from Tories inside the house and stressed to heat how she constantly worrying about their inevitable first meet. Let's all remember that Rosie's dad said he wasn't looking forward to meeting Nathan on a recent episode of Big Brother: Late & Live.
She told us, 'I was genuinely worried. I was very worried, actually. But I've gone through everything and been like, "Listen, you've not been shown everything. He's such a genuinely funny, kind person. He's coming across as an absolute brick and a half in there, and he is those things. I'm not going to say he's not, my goodness, but he's so many other things, as well. So lovely. They were like, "As long as he's nice to you and you're happy", which he is. How can they be cross at that?'
Tolerant until he runs for Parliament (call it a hunch), perhaps? We're thinking that will be a separate conversation...
