The latest series of Love Island had some wild characters.

Series 12 introduced us to Toni Laites and her iconic one liners, Harry Cooksley who flirted with every single bombshell, Harrison Solomon and his rogue moves and Blu Chegini and his odd comments.

However one of our favourite Islanders was easily Cach Mirjah Mercer. He's one of the coolest Casa Amor bombshells we've ever had - remember when he wore grills? Still thinking about it...

He stood by Toni even throughout their love triangle with Harrison and he left us in floods of tears when he got emotional on the terrace with BFF Ty Isherwood.

However as it turns out, Cach had one habit that he kept throughout the villa that helped him during to good and bad times.

'The first day I walked in [the villa], I was mad overwhelmed,' he admitted on the Old & Bald podcast.

'Obviously you walk in and you see all the cameras and stuff and it was hot. I was sweating bad.

'I remember I was sitting around the fire pit and the girls were asking questions and I was just thinking "I need a towel man" like I don't even want to speak to anyone right now.

'All the girl thought on the first day I hated them because of the way I was going on but I was just overwhelmed and I was mad hot,' he admitted.

Now that we think about it, we do remember when Helena Ford pulled Cach for a chat when the Casa boys first arrived and Shakira Khan joked, 'It looks like he doesn't want to be here.'

Helena added, 'Yeah I haven't seen him crack a smile yet.'

LOL.

Cach then went on to reveal what helped him during his villa stint.

'I started to ease into it. I forgot the cameras were there and I was having conversations with people and getting to know them normally and putting my trust in God,' he admitted.

'I prayed heavy in that villa for things to work out on the outside and yeah, God answered my prayers.'

Cach certainly didn't have the easiest time of things - especially after that shock recoupling where Toni picked Harrison following their secret terrace chat - however he won the show, £25k and is still with Toni so it all worked out in the end.
