Let's be honest (and just a little bit brutal), if there was one Love Island couple we didn't have the highest of hopes for outside of the villa it was Joey Essex and Jessy Potts. Not because they didn't work as a couple on Love Island 2024 (we actually kind of shipped them), but because Joey's head spectacularly (and notoriously) turned for almost every gorgeous blonde that sauntered into that villa.
Then, of course, there's the fact that 50 per cent of this couple was THE Joey Essex - a professional, hot AF reality star who splits his time between Essex, LA and Dubai.
As much as we adore Mr Essex, he's not exactly giving longevity.
Which is a shame, because there was definitely a spark between Joey and Jessy and we felt it – despite our speculation – when we caught up with Jessy in August 2024 (back when they were still together).
Alas, the couple announced their split soon after their red carpet debut at The National Television Awards - so showbiz.
And naturally, when a popular Love Island couple calls it quits, they are immediately thrown into the Love Island: All Stars rumour mill and Joey and Jessy are no exception. Although SURELY ITV wouldn't bring Joey Essex again? Sorry, but that itch has been well and truly scratched. Jessy, however... that we can see happening.
So when heat ran into Jessy at the VIP preview night for Winter Wonderland in London's Hyde Park, we simply had to get the tea, because SURELY ITV have reached out to this bombshell of bombshells.
Jessy revealed, '[I] genuinely haven't thought about it. Everyone keeps asking me the same question.'
Yeah, because we really, really want to see you back in the villa. Kings and Queens only vibes.
She continued, 'I've been in Australia and Bali and all over the place, so I'm just trying to live a single life at this point.'
Then, alluding to her recent split from Joey, she added, 'It's too soon I think. Maybe next year if I'm still single.'
Bless her, but let's be real, this is exactly what an Islander would say if they recently became single and were in the process of signing an All Stars contract, right?
Obviously, we're hoping this is the case, but we have a soft spot for lovely Jessy, so we hope that she makes the right choice for her.
To be fair, most people would choose regular jaunts to Australia and Bali over the strenuous getaway that is Love Island, so we kind of get it.
