She won us all over on Love Island last summer and while Kaz Kamwi sadly split with her co-star Tyler Cruickshank four months after they finished fourth on the show, Kaz, 27, has gone from strength to strength ever since.
As well as launching her own range with Boux Avenue and hitting up all the hottest red-carpet events, she’s now teaming up with homeless charity Shelter...
How's it going Kaz? You look amazing...
Thank you! I’m feeling really great, mentally and physically. I think body confidence is always a journey. My confidence didn’t come overnight – it’s taken me years, and 17-year-old me would be shocked at how I view myself now.
Once you reach the point of accepting yourself, you realise that you are beautiful and there is no other you out there. Don’t be afraid to accept compliments, because people often see things in you that you don’t. And also have patience with yourself, because we do put a lot of pressure on ourselves to look perfect. Just try and remind yourself who you are.
Are you and Liberty Poole still besties?
Yes! We’re going on holiday together to LA, so we’re really excited. It’s a long- distance friendship, but we’re managing and we’re always on the phone. I built a lot of genuine friendships in the villa and I’ve still maintained those. It was a shared experience and we’ve bonded even more in the real world over things we talked about on the island.
Liberty was fab on Dancing On Ice - would you ever like to try it?
She was amazing. I would probably have broken my nose, though, so the ice is not for me. But I would love to do another dance show. I love being challenged.
How is single life treating you?
I’m kind of dating myself right now. I’ve started buying myself flowers, and I think treating yourself is a really great way to make yourself feel good. Me-to-me gifts are elite and underrated – more people should send themselves presents!
Are you actively looking?
I’m not on any of the apps or anything. I prefer to meet people traditionally. But I’m not really dating, I’m focused on my work at the moment.

Tell us about your work with Shelter...
It sounds so narrow- minded, but I wasn’t as educated about the issue of homelessness as much as I thought. I went down to Shelter’s headquarters and I learned so much. Obviously, you can’t change everything – I’d love to make the world perfect for everybody – but I think, when you educate yourself on an issue, the next step is to let other people know. Word of mouth is so powerful, so I want to use my platform in a way that is beneficial to others.
