If there’s one thing that been clear from watching this year’s Love Island it’s that the series 12 girls are seriously divided. In fact, we can’t think of another time there’s been such an obvious split between two girl groups in the villa.

You’ve got Meg Moore and Helena Ford on one side, with Shakira Khan, Toni Laites and Yasmin Pettet and although the likes of Megan Forte Clarke and Emily Moran have previously insisted the girls are all on good terms, the rift between the two groups has seemingly deepened over time.

When recently dumped Casa Amor bombshell Lauren Wood popped by heat Towers for a post-villa chat earlier this week alongside Harrison Solomon, we had to get her take on the situation and it spoke volumes.

Lauren said, ‘I think there’s definitely a divide between the girls. I think there was a divide because of the couples situation. For me, there was a divide because Toni was friends with Shakira and Yas and I was never going to be close to Toni.

‘It’s definitely safe to say there was a divide.’

She’s not the only one to speak out on the divide as Andrada Pop also recently had her say.

Andrada told us, ‘When we [the Casa Amor girls] did go into the villa, there was a little bit of a divide and I kinda got closer to Shakira, Toni, Yas and Billykiss [Azeez]. That was my little group.

‘Coming out on the outside, me, Lucy [Quinn] and Lauren have been really, really good friends. We’ve stayed in touch and we had a great time together. They would be my girlies.’

It doesn’t look like things between the girls are going to get better any time soon as last night’s (Thursday 24 July) episode saw Meg clash with Toni and Shakira after a clip of them making some less than savoury comments about her were shown during the Grafties.

Meg was seen wiping away tears after telling the others she felt like were ‘fake to her face’.

However, Shakira hit back, ‘We said what we said, it was after Movie Night. I don't know why it's so surprising, we had a scrap that night.'
