Just when we thought this year’s Love Island couldn’t get any wilder, last night’s (Tuesday 15 July) Love Island 2025 recoupling came along and knocked our socks off.
Toni Laites’ on/off romance with Harrison Solomon took yet another turn when she chose to recouple with him after he admitted he still liked her during their secret terrace rendezvous, leaving Lauren Wood blindsided and in tears.
Lauren was left to couple up with Ty Isherwood, who became available when Shakira Khan coupled up Conor Phillips, and while the Casa Amor pair are seemingly in the early stages of getting to know each other, it’s come to light that they’ve been coupled up before. Yep, we have questions too.

Lauren and Ty both took part in Love Island’s rehearsal week (also known as the dry run) back in May and even coupled up on the show before being invited to take part in Casa Amor after impressing producers, but none of this has been mentioned on the show.
‘Ty and Lauren are acting like they’ve only just met but that’s far from the case. They hooked up during the dry run, which is where a fake cast moves into the villa to test out everything from camera angles, to kitchen appliances and run-through challenges,’ a TV insider told The Sun.
‘And then they even saw each other on the outside before ITV invited them back to be part of Casa Amor. Now they’re both in the main villa pretending like none of this ever happened but it’s all entirely fake and ITV know about it.’

They added, ‘Viewers deserve to know it’s all a huge sham.
‘Ty and Lauren don’t live far from each other at home and they continued seeing each other after the dry run week. It was so awkward how the episode made out like they’d never met before.’
heatworld has contacted Love Island representatives for comment.

Viewers saw Ty first pull Lauren for a chat after his partner Shakira admitted that her head was with Conor. He told her, ‘I feel like I’ve not really spoken to you. I feel like I’ve been catching eyes with you but I’ve not really had chance to speak to you.
‘Yeah, I know,’ Lauren replied, before Ty asked, ‘Are you still open? You knew that was coming. Obviously you’re an attractive girl.’
