Despite Love Island's incredible success in 2018, the popular show was criticised by fans and participants for colourism and lack of diversity. This year, bosses have reportedly changed their application process in order to change this.

Speaking to OK! online, a source from within the Love Island camp has stated that this year's application form will read, “We endeavour to have a diverse range of contestants appearing on the programme.”

Although the summer show was a great success, the same cannot be said about some of our favourite couple's relationships, with only two couples remaining together from the 2018 series.

With recent news of Josh Denzel and Kaz Crossley's shock break-up, we are only left with winners Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer, and Adam Collard and Zara McDermott
