It's official, Love Island's popularity has hit fever pitch as the hit ITV2 show has spread across the pond with Love Island USA starting TONIGHT! (9th July).
And even better, the US version of the show can be viewed by UK super-fans for free on CBS.com or if they have a digital subscription to CBS All Access or YouTube TV.
This version of the show is hosted by social media influencer Arielle Vandenberg and will be filmed in FIJI. Jealous much.
Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, ITV America's chief executive officer David Eilenberg said the show will be DIFFERENT to the UK version, after it was given an earlier broadcasting slot.
He said, "We're going to conform to broadcast standards. We're on at 8 o'clock on a major broadcaster. That said, even the way that the U.K. show has evolved, it has shifted more towards a mainstream general entertainment audience.
"Probably the biggest different of all is likely to be around language because we'll have some bleeping obligations that the U.K. simply doesn't".
David reassured this wouldn't ruin the experience of watching the show, adding, "I don't think that's going to make a huge difference".
"Some of those differences won't just have to do with the type of platform it's on, but simply the cultural differences between American Islanders and U.K. Islanders. We don't know what those are yet until we actually put our Islanders into the villa but we're excited to find out".
Fans of the show have already taken to Twitter to share their excitement. One user wrote, 'Yay!!! I have watched the UK and AU series! Love it!', whilst another tweeted, 'bring it on!'. Another added, 'YAAAAS'. [sic]
We'll have to wait and see whether this will be ANOTHER smash hit!
