We missed out on the classic Love Island moments this summer but that hasn't stopped us from revisiting the past and looking back at the worst ever splits.
Over the years we've seen (let's be honest) the majority of Love Island couples break up weeks or months after leaving the villa.
Whether it was because they discovered their partner had a secret girlfriend on the outside (George Rains we're looking at you), they were accused on cheating with an ex (cough Georgia Steel cough) or they went below the belt by kidnapping their joint hamster .
However not all the couples make it to the outside world.
Nope.
How could we forget the iconic showdowns in the villa that saw the end of Anna Vakili and Jordan and Malin Andersson and Terry Walsh?
So we thought we'd spend this time to have a look back at the worst ever Love Island breakups of all time.
Check out: Love Island's bitter splits
Love Island bitter splits
Sam Bird and Georgia Steel
Their relationship was pretty bizarre in the villa - remember they decided to stay on the show and remain single rather than leave together? Anyways despite all odds they continued their relationship in the real world, moved in together but then split with Sam accusing Georgia of cheating with her ex-boyfriend. Then they had an 'explosive' row during the Christmas spin-off.
Jordan Hames and Anna Vakili
Definitely one of the most toxic splits ever was Jordan asking Anna to be his girlfriend but ONE DAY later trying to crack on with India Reynolds. It's safe to say that Anna put him in his place (and the rest of the girls in the villa joined in).
Demi Jones and Luke Mabbott
Not going to lie we kind of forget that these two were even dating until they announced they split during lockdown (despite placing third on the series). However the plot thickened when Luke started dating Lucie Donlan (from the 2019 series) and Demi threw major shade at them.
Amber Gill and Michael Griffiths
We're still annoyed at the way Michael treated Amber after he recoupled in Casa Amor and brutally dumped her. He left her crying but then backtracked and tried to win her back... Luckily she moved on with Greg O'Shea (and won the show).
Rosie Williams and Adam Collard
Adam smirking while Rosie poured her heart out at the end of their relationship was horrible to watch. He moved on with Zara McDermott but they soon split and Rosie's launched her own company so it's not all doom and gloom.
Wes Nelson and Laura Anderson
Laura was left furious when Wes announced he was going to get to know Megan in the villa. Luckily they both moved on but that didn't stop Laura from throwing more shade at her ex in August 2020.
Chris Hughes and Olivia Attwood
Another turbulent couple in the Love Island villa that remained together for a good few months after the final. However things came to an abrupt end but it got worse when Olivia revealed he dumped her by text and then viewers got to see everything unfold on their spin-off show.
Chloe Crowhurst and Jon Clark
Remember when Love Island began in 2017 and Jon claimed that he was in a relationship with Chloe and had no idea she was going on the show? Bless him. However fast forward a few months and they apparently got back together.
Kaz Crossley and Josh Denzel
We really thought they were the real deal (after Josh dumped Georgia for Kaz) but it wasn't to last and they split shortly after their holiday in the Maldives. However things took a turn when Kaz moved on with Theo Campbell and Josh threw shade at them. Josh then apparently 'mocked' Theo following his eye injury.
Wes Nelson and Megan Barton Hanson
Megan and Wes actually lasted a pretty long time for a Love Island couple but it came to a head when Megan fell out with Wes' Dancing on Ice partner. Despite the fall out, Wes and Megan appeared to be on good terms but she later hinted he had sexted with Love Island 2017 star Amber Davies.
Amy Hart and Curtis Pritchard
Amy and Curtis appeared to be one of the only stable couples in 2019 but it all came to an end following Casa Amor. Poor Amy was left heartbroken when he admitted his head had been turned and he then dumped her and moved on with Maura Higgins.
Malin Andersson and Terry Walsh
Remember in series two when Malin was dumped from the villa and Terry was considering following her? Fast forward and he moved on but things got VERY interesting when Malin returned and confronted him. Still obsessed with how the convo went down, tbh.

Despite all the tragic splits above there have been a few couples from Love Island that are actually still in a relationship.
Can you believe?
No couple from series 2015 or 2018 are together but the other seasons have had more success...
From Love Island 2016 Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde are married and have two children together Freddy and Delilah. Also Alex and Olivia Bowen are happily married.
From the 2017 series, Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt earlier this year announced they were expecting their first child together and Jess Shears and Dominic Lever are also married with a child.
Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury go against Anton Danyluk's odds and are still in it for the long haul from 2019.
And as for Love Island 2020 there's quite a few couples still together; Paige Turley and Finn Tapp, Siânnise Fudge and Luke Trotman, Mike Boateng and Priscilla Anyabu, Callum Jones and Molly Smith and Nas Majeed and Eva Zapico are all still together.
So if you want to find love and potentially fame maybe Love Island 2021 is the way to go...
