Love Island 2018’s Idris Virgo has made some controversial comments about 2017’s Theo Campbell’s eye injury, who he is currently starring alongside on MTV show The Challenge.
Theo suffered a freak accident earlier in the year when a rogue Champagne cork split his eye completely in two – but Idris has accused him of faking his injury.
Athlete Theo, who is dating 2018 Islander Kaz Crossley, posted screenshots of an explosive exchange between him and Idris on a group chat thread, each aiming insults at the other.
“You're boring. You didn't get an invite to the reunion show because you had 0 personality on the show,” said Theo in one message.
"Everyone else should, only you shouldn't. And because your a puppet that's why you won't get casted again. I duno why you try so hard online to make noise. But carry on its laughable".
Idris shot back, “Who are you again? People only know who you are because of your girlfriend other than that you're irrelevant.
"Man had to shoot him self with a cork to get clout,” he said, referring to the incident. “Think it's fake tbh.”
Further screenshots show Theo typing, "You missed out the part where you're telling you're little people I'm lying about my eye.
"Only a idiot like yourself would lie about such a thing. And that fact you're putting our convo on Twitter just proves once again what a BEG you are. BEG BEG BEG such a loser".
Speaking on This Morning following the fateful Ibiza trip that saw Theo end up in hospital having found himself blind in one eye, he said, "I went to the doctor and these eye doctors, yeah, they don't like to give away an inch, so he says 'it was a very successful procedure, the doctor in Ibiza done a very good job with the stitches so the eye is together which is the main part.
"I've still got it, obviously, the outside is damaged but I can open my eye and I can see light so I'm not completely blind, so that's a good step."
