There’s so much drama on Love Island that it’s easy to forget what the show is all about. The clue is quite literally in the name.
Love Island 2025 was one of the most dramatic series in the show’s history, but there were some successful relationships to come out of the villa this year. Not only are the top four couples – Toni Laites and Cach Mirjah Mercer, Shakira Khan and Harry Cooksley, Yasmin Pettet and Jamie Rhodes, and Angel Swift and Ty Isherwood – all still going strong, but Meg Moore and Dejon Noel-Williams, who just missed out on the final, are still together too.
Another couple who are still smitten with each other post-villa are Megan Forte Clarke and Conor Phillips, who rekindled their romance when Megan made a surprise return to the show, and they’ve just shared a very exciting relationship update.
Speaking exclusively to heat, the gorgeous pair revealed that they’re now officially boyfriend and girlfriend after Conor popped the question (no, not that one) during a romantic day out at the beach.
‘There has been an update. We are boyfriend and girlfriend now, that’s how well we’ve been doing’ Conor told us during a chat about life after the villa.
‘I think it’s one of those things where when she did come back in, it was towards the tail end of the journey in there, everyone was quite far along on the journey. I know we met each other before, but I still wanted to start from square one and do it properly and naturally.'
He added, 'I just waited until after the villa because it didn’t feel right at the time and now it feels right since we’ve left the villa.’
So how did Conor ask Megan to be his girlfriend? Well, rather than opting for an over-the-top grand gesture, he kept it more ‘low-key’ and intimate.
‘We’re in Brighton, so we’re on the beach, we just sat down and had a chat about our journey and then I asked her on the beach,’ he explained.
And Megan admitted it was an ‘instant yes’. She joked, ‘I laughed at him for like two minutes, it was funny that we’re asking now. I was waiting for it, to be honest. I was tapping my foot waiting for the question, but it did come.’
Megan and Conor were both OG Islanders and entered the villa on day one, but they didn't proper strike up a romantic connection until a couple of weeks in. However, just when they coupled up, Megan was dumped from the villa after a public vote. Conor then coupled up with the likes of Billykiss Azeez, Yasmin Pettet, Emma Munro and Shakira Khan, but each of those romances fizzled out and then Megan returned to the villa and they basically picked up where they left off. They were dumped following a brutal public vote for the most compatible couple just days later, but have been going from strength to strength in the outside world.
