Dare we say this year's season of Love Island is giving us 2019 vibes? Is it too soon to declare such a thing? Because from the kissing challenge that ended in a villa feud to the girls having to watch the lads go on dates with three new bombshells, this year's series is feeling very old school Love Island.
Even the insults are making us nostalgic for the older series and we are, of course, talking about Tommy Bradley's bizarre dig at bombshell Shea Mannings where he referred to him as a 'lanky lamp post'.
The comment had the world of social media in hysterics; either shocked by Tommy's strangely specific shade or entertained by the random jibe.
'"lanky fucking lamppost" I'M DYING, WHY IS TOMMY THE ONLY NORMAL MAN IN THERE?' one person posted with another writing, 'Who knew Tommy had such a character?'
However, someone else wrote, 'Tommy needs to chill, like is it really that deep? It’s a challenge,' with someone else adding, 'Tommy is doing the most now, the man apologised and seemed genuine.'
But it was the way Shea's sister took to social media to post a video of her reacting to Tommy's take down.
She captioned the video of her laughing at the interaction between Tommy and Shea, 'I promise I’m really angry, how dare he!!!!'
She also wrote across the video with the text, 'Watching my brother get called a lanky lamppost on TV,' and we can practically hear the sarcasm, don't you just love siblings?
The comments have now been removed but we caught a sneak peek of what people were saying before she turned them off.
One person wrote, 'In enemy territory...' and we have a feeling they missed the part where Shea's sister is laughing about the altercation. It's giving only child.
The two Islanders clashed over Shea kissing Megan Forte Clarke, who Tommy is currently in a couple with, during a challenge. Although Shea apologised, Tommy was too fuming to call a truce and the episode ended on an epic cliffhanger.
