It was the end of an era on Love Island last night as series 12 OG and fan favourite Tommy Bradley was dumped from the villa alongside Lucy Quinn after they were sent packing by Shakira Khan and Ty Isherwood.

Tommy had been in the villa since day one and went on quite then journey after his seemingly idyllic relationship with Megan Forte Clarke ended in tatters when she explored her connection with Conor Phillips.

The landscape gardener then got to know Emily Moran but his head was turned by Lucy in Casa Amor, which meant that Emily was dumped from the villa. Now, following his own exit, Tommy has revealed why he was ‘disappointed’ with himself.

Speaking about his failed romance with Emily, Tommy said, ‘I think she’s got a heart of gold and a great person in general. She ticked every single box I looked for in a girl and she’s my type but I just didn’t feel like that romantic spark was there.

‘I am disappointed in myself about that because I don’t know why I felt like that. I’d love to catch up with her. She was a huge part of my Love Island journey.’

He continued, ‘When I saw Emily standing by the fire pit alone with her face sunken, it wasn’t a nice feeling. It’s not in my character to upset people or make them feel down, and I feel like I did do that at that moment in time. I was really in the hot seat.’

As for Tommy’s relationship with Lucy, it sounds like the pair have already got their first date planned.

‘We’re going to go to a few nice restaurants. We both love steakhouses so we’ll have some nice steaks, I’ll have a bottle of red wine, she’ll have a bottle of rose,’ he explained.

‘I’ve never been to Liverpool before so she’ll give me the tour. I’m excited for the next chapter. Our Love Island journey ended but it’s the start of something new so I’m excited to see where it goes.’
