If you’ve been watching Love Island this year (and if you haven’t, then what are you even doing on heatworld.com tbh?) then you’ll know that the Islanders have really been put through the wringer this year.

Series 12 has been total chaos from start to finish, which has been absolute TV gold for viewers but we can’t imagine it’s been the most fun for this year’s contestants at times.

Toni Laites and Shakira Khan are two Islanders that have particularly been through it of late, following their respective love triangles with Harrison Solomon and Cach Mirjah Mercer and Harry Cooksley and Helena Ford, which has even sparked rumours their mums Leslie and Sukina are going to sue ITV.

The rumour mill first started swirling when Leslie and Sukina, who have been sharing their thoughts on the show on TikTok over the past six weeks, suddenly removed the videos they uploaded about Love Island or made them private.

Fans then began speculating that the pair were taking legal action again producers, especially after some viewers’ complaints that Shakira had been given an unfair edit.

However, as we now know, Leslie and Sukina both travelled to Spain to enter the villa on ‘Meet the Parents’ day and it seems that’s the real reason they hid their social media videos.

Addressing the rumours in a new video after unprivating her account yesterday (Monday 28 July), Leslie said, ‘So if you watch tonight's episode and the first look, the cat is out of the bag, my accounts were set to private because I had other things to do, not because myself and Shakira’s mum are suing ITV.

‘We are definitely not, that rumour should be put to rest immediately. There's even a rumour that her and I were spotted in London together meeting with an attorney, also 100 percent fake news.’

Leslie, who goes by the iconic name @lipglossles on TikTok, added, ‘My advice to all of you is don't believe everything you see on the internet, because most of it's probably not real. This particular rumour, I'm just getting on to confirm it is not real.’

So there we have it, ITV’s lawyers can breathe a sigh of relief.
