We had no idea how this season was going to play out, but then the producers started throwing challenges and bombshells at the Islanders at any given moment and suddenly the dating show came to life.
That being said, there is one person in particular who is single-handedly carrying the dating show and we aren't the only ones who think so.
We present to you, Yasmin Pettet aka YasGPT, a nickname the world of social media has fondly given her.
The show's narrator, Iain Stirling, recently took to TikTok to declare Yasmin an 'elite bombshell' and when Iain feels the need to create a social media post dedicated to one person, you know he means business.
'Ten years in the game and we have a new elite Islander on our hands,' he told his followers, 'Yasmin, congratulations, you're doing God's work.'
Gods work, indeed. For any of you that aren't fully up to date with the series we advise that many a spoiler lies ahead, as last night's episode (Thursday 20 June 2025) was truly one for the history books.
If we are being honest, Yasmin has been iconic from the moment she strolled in with that Grace Jackson-esque posture and those vacant wide eyes, but after her secret Hideaway kiss with Harry Cooksley and her unwillingness to back down when being confronted by, well, everyone, her bombshell status went from 'adequate' to 'elite'.
This is the thing with Yasmin, she clearly took inspiration from OG Love Island bombshells like Maura Higgins and Megan Barton-Hanson - as she should - and went in with her sights on the lads which is literally what bombshells are supposed to do. Boom.
We fear that some of the girls, potentially Helena Ford and Meg Moore, have forgotten what role she was given. Not only that, but it takes two to tango and Yasmin wasn't making moves and flirting on her own; both Harry and Dejon Noel-Williams were on hand to offer some spicy chat back...
Yasmin's most defining moment to date - and the scene that cemented her in the bombshell hall of fame - was when Harry confessed to the group that they had secretly kissed twice.
Yasmin, with a face as straight as the men in the villa, added, 'No, it was three times actually,' causing the entire villa to gasp in shock and the entire nation to declared her 'iconic' and the 'realest'.
Obviously, it's not nice seeing Helena upset or seeing Meg hurt, but shouldn't they be questioning Harry and Dejon on what makes them think it's acceptable to behave in such a manner rather than defaulting to shading Yasmin?
Yasmin, who is currently coupled up with Shea Mannings, has made it clear she wants to explore all connections in the villa, whereas Dejon is calling Meg 'my Meg' one minute then talking threesome and kinks with Yasmin and Toni the next. As for Harry, he snogged Yasmin several times in the hideaway and proceeded to lie to Helena about doing so, and yet Yasmin is getting all the flack? It's a bitter pill to swallow.
The Islanders are, of course, entitled to deal with these situations how they see fit but we can't help but notice that Yasmin is being singled out and mocked by the girls, so why aren't the boys as well?
We just hope she continues to hold her head high, her back straight, and bombshell like it's 2019 all over again.
