There is no denying that being a reality TV star comes with its perks, whether you are a Love Island contestant or a cast member on Made in Chelsea, brand deals, free products and fancy events become the norm. However, there is, of course, a dark side when it comes to being in the public eye and on the most recent episode of the Private Parts podcast, MIC girlie Liv Bentley, who co-hosts the podcast, lifted the lid on being on structured reality TV shows.
Liv spoke openly about 'dark times' during her eight-year stint on MIC and also revealed the impact it had on her family, especially her sisters.
'At the beginning, there was animosity between my sisters and I,' she confessed. 'As they thought I was being paid to do fuck all and to be fair it does look like that.'
We love a self aware queen. Everyone knows that the cast of MIC do enjoy boujee trips away, shopping in designer stores and partying at fancy AF bars, but they also have to film the same scense countless times, break up on screen and spend time with their enemies on a a day to day basis.
'Then once we got past that it became a topic of conversation,' she went on which sounds like a positive turn of events, but it wasn't quite smooth sailing for the family...
'For my sisters it must be irritating that all anyone wanted to speak about was Made in Chelsea.' She added, 'After a while, it died down and we just didn’t speak about it really.'
Now that Liv is no longer part of the show we imagine the MIC talk has died down significantly, but unfortunately for the Bentley sisters, she will forever be known as a queen of Kings Road.
Once a Chelsea girl always a Chelsea girl and all that.
