Married At First Sight UK couple Adam Nightingale and Polly Sellman’s relationship has been so turbulent that we’re pretty sure we’ve got whiplash, but we did have high hopes for them now that the experiment is coming to an end.
However, it all went wrong at the final dinner party of the series as the pair ended up getting in a massive row when she branded him a ‘narcissist’. It all kicked off, with Polly dropping the C-bomb and Adam storming off.
Following the explosive scenes, Adam has spoken out on social media to hit back at the ‘false accusations’ made about him.
The barber turned reality star admitted that the episode had been a ‘hard watch’ for him and told his Instagram followers, ‘Being accused of things you haven’t done and called names is crazy…’
He continued, ‘But I will happily hold my head up high and have no regrets.’
Adam also thanked his co-stars Nathan Campbell and Lacey Martin for supporting him throughout the drama.
‘Shout to Nathan and Lacey for having my back and not letting false accusations come my way… Big love my fav couple,’ he wrote.
Continuing to discuss his row with Polly on his Instagram story, Adam wrote, ‘Could have handled that better I think… But it is what it is…
‘Only so much somebody can take.’
During the tense scenes, Adam told Polly, ‘If you’re going to frustrate me and moan at me all day, why would I want to come home and have sex with you?’
She then accused her husband of being a ‘narcissist’, before he stormed out of the dinner party.
Polly also told Adam, ‘You’ve led me on, you’ve f***ed me about, and you’ve p*ssed me right off,’ and called him a ‘c**t’ before she left the room.
Sharing their thoughts on social media, one MAFS fan wrote, ‘I honestly can’t believe Polly just called Adam that on TV! Even my subtitles typed it out. Don’t think I’ve ever seen that before. Poor Adam took a battering.’
