Amongst all of the chaos on the latest series of Married At First Sight Australia, one couple have been giving us hope that true love really does exist. We’re, of course, talking about Jamie Marinos and Dave Hand, who have been going strong while many of their fellow couples crash and burn.
However, producers have a huge twist up their sleeves that could throw a spanner in the works, because of course they have.
Following the announcement of the MAFS Australia 2025 intruder brides and grooms – including a returning Eliot Donovan and Lauren Hall – it’s come to light that Jamie has history with one of the new arrivals.
According to reports, Jamie made the bombshell announcement that she’d slept with show newcomer Teejay Halkias in the middle of his wedding to intruder bride Beth Kelly. Awks…
A show insider revealed, 'We were all sitting at the main table, enjoying the wedding, and then Jamie just walked over and said, “I slept with TJ."'
They told Daily Mail Australia, 'The entire room froze. It was like a grenade had gone off. Nobody could believe what they were hearing.'
Another source added, 'I just sat there like, "What?!" She said it so casually, and we were all thinking, "Why would she drop that bombshell at the wedding, of all places?" The whole atmosphere changed instantly.'
Despite the drama, Jamie has reportedly admitted she doesn’t have any regrets. She’s remained fairly tight-lipped about what happened with Teejay but did reveal, 'I knew him when I was 17 in Adelaide.'
Someone who has spoken out, however, is Beth, who confessed she felt overwhelmed when she learned that Teejay – who previously appeared on Big Brother Australia – was well acquainted with Jamie.
'It was a lot to process, to be honest. I’d only just met the guy, and suddenly, I was being hit with all this information — his past TV stint, the fact he’d slept with a lot of women, and then the whole Jamie situation,' she said.
