Married At First Sight Australia has made icons out of mere mortals. The producers always seem to find the most, ahem, interesting of people to take part in the social experiment turned reality TV show and we always end up tuning in every night to follow their love journey.
One person who became being a fan favourite on the latest Aussie series, which aired earlier this year, is whimsical master of ceremony Lucinda Light.
The public speaker was matched with Timothy Smith on MAFS Australia 2024 and no, they're no longer an item, but that hasn't stopped Lucinda from thriving in the world of showbiz and continuing to spread the love both here and in Australia, and it turns out that her new job role is combining the two.
According to Geordie Shore legend, Vicky Pattison, Lucinda will be joining the Newcastle native in a new project and it involves radical dating, reward money and a robot - kind of.
Vicky posted on her Instagram story that she was 'grateful for her day', as she told her followers, 'Today I started work on that brand new project with the one and only @lucindaslight and the fabulous team at @mettlemouse and although it was an INCREDIBLE first day and I'm so grateful to be involved... I'm shattered.'
After some major journalistic investigating (we Googled it), we discovered that Vicky and Lucinda are going to be working together on a new dating show called The Honesty Box.
Naturally we're already obsessed; you can always rely on Vicky and Lucinda to offer up a truth bomb when no one else is ready to hear it and having them working together feels too good to be true.
Apparently their new dating show 'brings a cast of singles together in "Truetopia", a sunny and romantic paradise where truth and honesty reign supreme.'
But naturally it's not just about finding romance, as there's prize money up for grabs too. 'To encourage full transparency in their new relationships, there is a prize fund of £100,000 up for grabs,' a synopsis for the show reads.
At first glance, it seems to be a mix of MAFS and Love Island, but remember what we said about a robot?
The daters will face The Honesty Box – a new AI-enhanced software – every day, to be asked probing questions about their feelings.
Which, honestly (pun not intended), sounds like our idea of hell, especially when EVERYTHING relies on you being as vulnerable as possible.
The synopsis continues, 'If The Honesty Box detects deception, it could impact their newly formed relationship… and the prize fund.'
