There’s guaranteed to be plenty of drama whenever Married At First Sight is on our screens and the latest series of MAFS Australia is no exception.
From Eliot Donovan quitting the show just days after marrying Lauren Hall to Jacqui Burfoot branding one of her co-stars a ‘bully’, it’s all been kicking off Down Under.
But just when we thought the show couldn’t get any more explosive, it’s been confirmed that a bride and groom who quit the show will be returning with new partners in a show first.
Following the breakdown of the marriage, Eliot and Lauren are set to make a comeback and will walk down the aisle for a second time.
No, they won’t be doing a Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck and marrying each other once again, the MAFS experts – John Aiken, Alessandra Rampolla and Mel Schilling – will be pairing them up with new partners.
Let’s hope it’s second time lucky, eh?
The official E4 Instagram has just announced the return of Eliot and Lauren, as well as the arrival of intruder brides and grooms Beth, Clint, Teejay and Veronica, in a post captioned, ‘Introducing (and reintroducing) the rest of this year’s #MAFSAU brides and grooms!’
Viewers were divided about the dramatic twist, with one commenting, ‘Eliot???? Seriously????’
Another added, ‘Lauren deserves this second chance, Eliot however…’, while a third wrote, ‘Love Eliot 💛.’
It’s fair to say that Eliot didn’t win too many fans during his first stint on the show after sharing his list of ‘non-negotiables’.
‘I wanted someone that was younger than me, preferably someone under 30,’ he fumed after packing his bags and storming out of their honeymoon.
Viewers branded him a ‘walking red flag’, with one remarking, ‘Why do guys like Eliot even sign up for the show? He’s embarrassing himself.’
