Congratulations are in order for former Atomic Kitten star Liz McClarnon, who last week announced the happy news that she’s expecting her first child following years of fertility struggles.

Showing off her bump in a sweet video to her Instagram followers, Liz, 44 – who married her ‘perfect match’ Peter Cho in 2023 – wrote, ‘I’ve been keeping a secret from you all… After years of sometimes painful IVF and quite dark times… I’m pregnant! We feel like we’ve been given the world.’

Revealing she’s ‘so grateful’, Liz continued, ‘I just can’t believe we’re here. So many have been through exactly what I went through and worse. I want to share what I can, and add my voice and ears to those who already help others understand or deal with all that comes with IVF and loss after so much hope.’

Back in 2009, the singer revealed that emergency surgery had led to the discovery that her Fallopian tubes were stuck together.

She said at the time, ‘Having thought even briefly that I might never be able to have my own children made me realise what agony that would be,’ before adding that she would like to start trying for a family ‘sooner rather than later’. However, she didn’t meet Peter until much later in life.

Her celeb pals were overjoyed by her news. Former bandmate Natasha Hamilton commented, ‘Literally couldn’t be any happier for you both! After all you’ve been through, this little miracle is everything,’ while Liberty X star Michelle Heaton said, ‘So unbelievably happy for you both. I know how the road has been unkind to get here, but look at you now. Love to all three of you.
