Despite the Beast from the East leaving us huddled under the desk wrapped in approx.14331 layers and physically shaking at the thought of our evening commute, Spring is supposedly just around the corner. Which means, Easter is almost upon us, bringing with it chocolate eggs and hot cross buns by the bucket-load.
This year, however, a few unorthodox Easter treats have been hitting the shelves and giving the Cadbury’s Crème Egg a run for its money.
We previously lost our minds over the Cheester Egg, an Easter Egg made of blue cheese, filled with crunchy oatcakes and caramelised onion chutney. Now, for those of us partial to a tipple of bubbly, a strawberry and prosecco flavoured egg has popped up.
The egg is available from Treat Kitchen on Not On The High Street, and has been dubbed an ‘Easter Egg’ for adults and combines white chocolate with our fave bubbly.
"Each Easter Egg is a white chocolate, hand crafted egg flavoured with prosecco and strawberry,” the website explains.
“Beautiful to eat and beautiful to look at. The perfect easter egg for her or any fabulous fizz fan."
The company has also launched a GIN AND TONIC-flavoured egg, infused with gin flavouring and lime tonic.
Who knew Easter could be so lit?
If cheese is more your thang (we don't blame you, tbh), as well as the Cheester Egg you can now also indulge in a cheese bouquet.
It's the worlds first cheese bouquet, and has been created by Jarlsberg® - the famous Norwegian cheese export. The bouquet has been sculpted by Oxfordshire florist Twigs & Twine. Basically, it's a very fancy array of cheese, crackers and flowers that will look bloody brilliant on your dining table. Find out more about the cheese bouquet, here.
