There’s reportedly been a new signing to the Geordie Shore cast, and viewers may well recognise her from her various other reality TV pursuits.

After coming second runner up to winners Little Mix on the 2011 series of X Factor and resurfacing in 2017 to star on Celebrity Big Brother (and striking up an unlikely romance with MiC’s Sam Thompson), native Geordie Amelia Lily has allegedly signed on the dotted line for the next series of Geordie Shore.

"Bosses are made up they've signed Amelia for the show and promise she will make it the best series yet," a source told The Sun.

"She's always up for a laugh and will make great telly for viewers.

"Amelia's not shy about saying what she thinks either so things could get explosive."

The Jersey Shore MTV spin-off has been through quite the cast over it’s twenty-series legacy, with various members leaving and returning, as well as launching the careers of household names such as Charlotte Crosby, Vicky Pattison and Gaz Beadle.

Most recently, OG James Tindale – who left the show in 2015 to "focus on his relationship" – returned, leaving his former co-star Gaz surprised.

"James done what I’ve done in the opposite way," he told Closer Online earlier this year.

"He missed out on a lot. He settled down while we were all on Geordie Shore. I could never get my head around why he wasn’t coming out with us on a Saturday."

Other returners over the years have included Holly Hagan, Scotty T and Sophie Kasaei, who’s left and come back more times than we can count, walking out of series 19 after her ex was brought into the house for a one off episode.
