Love Island host Caroline Flack is preparing to head into the villa as we speak to host this year's series of the show. Having presented the show for the last four years, she's now a pro at staying both impartial as the host, but also making good friends with the Islanders.
As the face of the show, Caroline has now responded to the recent criticism that Love Island has received over its aftercare, which caused show bosses to rethink their approach and announce new plans for the 2019 series.
In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, Caroline spoke about the backlash that the show had received, saying that people "shouldn't point fingers" after the tragic death of Mike Thalassitis.
She said, "It’s dangerous and I’m really, really angry. It’s not just that you’re blaming a TV show, you’re blaming people and their jobs. In life we all have a duty of care to look out for each other, but I don’t think it’s fair to point fingers of blame.
"This is a much bigger issue than just a reality TV show, and when something this bad happens – and I’m talking about Mike – when something this horrible and sad occurs, it’s so dangerous to point fingers within hours and minutes of it happening."
In the same interview, Caroline spoke out about how she's now dating again following her on-off relationship with ex-fiancé and The Apprentice star, Andrew Brady.
She gushed, "I'm getting back on the horse. I've been dating and really enjoying it. I've decided to give people a chance, go and date and have some fun with it. There doesn't always have to be an end goal."
