Now that the first series of Love is Blind UK is over, we’re counting down the days until the second series hits our screens and thankfully, the series one cast have been spilling loads of behind-the-scenes secrets to keep us entertained.
Earlier this month, Jasmine Johnson exclusively opened up to heatworld about scenes that were ‘taken out of context’ and Catherine Richards, who is now dating co-star Jake Singleton-Hall, recently revealed which one of her co-stars unfollowed her.
But it seems that Catherine tea-spilling didn’t end there as she’s also spoken out about what the producers of the show ‘made her do’.
Love is Blind fans will remember that Catherine was linked to co-star Sam Klein after they met at the mixer and she commented on how much he looked like her ex-boyfriend. The pair also posed for pictures together after the show, sparking rumours they were dating.
Some viewers weren’t impressed with Catherine’s comments to Sam at the mixer, believing she was flirting with him in front of her partner Freddie Powell.
However, Catherine has now revealed that the scenes between her and Sam were actually set up by producers.
Cat explained, ‘The producers told me to talk to Sam. I didn't just go up there.
‘The producers told me to talk to him because no one was talking to him. And then they told me to ask about his bracelet.’
Insisting that she wasn’t flirting with Sam, Catherine told The Sun, ‘I was so shocked that Sam generally looks like my ex, I probably went on about it too long.
‘But I was not attracted to him, I wasn't flirting with him.’
The dental nurse turned reality star was also seen asking Sam for his phone number, but it turns out that she was actually trying to set him up with one of her friends.
‘I said to Sam, “I have a friend that would be perfect for you. So when I'm in London give me a call,”’ she clarified.
‘I was actually hooking him up with my friend. Which Freddie knew about because he was there.’
