Gavin and Stacey is, objectively, the best TV show ever to be made
We’ve been hoping and praying for a reboot ever since the show was cruelly ripped from our screens in 2010 – and we may now (possibly) be in luck.
Because Ruth Jones, who played Nessa, has been chatting to James Corden, who played Smithy, about what little baby Neil the baby would be up to now.
"James and I were talking about this [the characters] the other day," she said while appearing on Lorraine earlier today.
"I think Baby Neil, who is now probably about 11 ... Nessa is training him down the slots.
"She's training him in the art of the dodgy grabber machine and how to weight the two pences."
Does this mean she’s got another script in the pipeline? PLEASE, NESSA, WE NEED THIS.
However, it’s very unlikely a potential new series could be happening any time soon, because Ruth is apparently planning to work on her novel this summer.
"It's a two-book deal so I'm going to spend the summer writing the second one. But the problem is, I had a screenplay to base this one on, but I've got no idea.
"If anybody has any ideas just let me know."
While you’re waiting for the Gavin and Stacey reboot (and we’ll never stop waiting), why not take a look at our rundown of the best ever moments?
