Iain was a law student at Edinburgh Uni and is in the latest wave of floppy-haired comedians, writers, television presenters to make it big after being scouted during one of his stand-up routines.
Iain started doing stand-up during his last year at the university, and in August 2009 he performed in the final of the Chortle Student Comedian Of The Year at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, losing out to fellow comedian Joe Lycett who is best known for 8 Out of 10 Cats and his own show, Joe Lycett's Got Your Back.
He's narrated Love Island since its first series in 2015 and fast became a staple part of the show.

Since March 2017, Iain Stirling has been dating fellow TV presenter Laura Whitmore. The pair moved in together in December 2018, with Laura buying a house in North London. They regularly post adorable snaps of each other on social media.
Laura took over Love Island presenting duties for the first ever winter edition in 2020, working alongside her narrator other half.
It was reported that the couple secretly married in Dublin in November 2020, with Laura confirming the news a few months later. She revealed Iain had proposed to her a year before they got married but they had decided to keep details of their engagement and wedding under wraps.
She wrote on Instagram, "A year ago Iain asked me to marry him and we had the most magical, perfect ceremony. We loved having it to ourselves. We had been planning the perfect celebration and I will forever be so thankful that’s what we got. We have never spoken publicly about our engagement or wedding. Back at the time we never felt the need to say anything as it’s all such a personal experience. We also were too busy enjoying it!"

Iain and Laura became parents in April 2020 when she gave birth to their first child, a baby daughter.
Although neither Iain nor Laura announced the news at the time, their new arrival was confirmed when they were spotted out with their daughter while getting coffee.
The couple keep their daughter out of the public eye, although Laura appeared to confirm reports that they had named their daughter Stevie when she uploaded an Instagram snap that showed a denim jacket with the name Stevie Ré stitched on to the back.
“A few years ago at Glastonbury I bought the handmade ‘time to dance and play’ sign somewhere in the healing fields en route to Shangri La,” she captioned the photo. “I ended up wandering around by myself for a few hours, stumbling across different stages and tents. I look at this sign and remind myself of the importance of having fun.
“Life can get stressful. It can feel overwhelming. But it reminds me of the things that bring me joy in my life. So today, do something that brings you joy! Have a great weekend x.”
What other shows has Iain Stirling been on?
He has presented shows for CBBC and even bagged himself a BAFTA nomination in 2014 for best children's presenter - go Iain! Although he finished working for CBBC in 2013, Iain returned for their 30th anniversary in 2015.
He has now had three BAFTA nominations in total – how impressive is that?!
Iain has also made an appearance on Comedy Central's Drunk History, drunkenly telling Scott of the Antarctic's story. He put his voiceover skills to yet another good use in 2018, narrating the BAFTA TV Awards, and in 2019 he was a contestant on Taskmaster.

Despite only knowing each other for 12 days, Greg and Amber were crowned winners of the 2019 series, beating Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae for the Love Island crown.

Since leaving the show greg has continued to pursue his successful sporting career and has seen lots of success. He even competed in last years Olympic Games (WOW).
2020 - Love Island: Paige Turley and Finn Tapp
Paige Turley and Finn Tapp won the first (and potentially only) series of Love Island to take place in South Africa. They beat favourites Siânnise Fudge and Luke Trotman and left the show on strong form, deciding to split the £50,000 with Luke announcing he wanted to spend his winnings on a home for him and Paige (awww).

Paige and Finn have been together ever since and by all accounts seem to be going strong. We guess love is real...
2021 - Love Island: Millie Court and Liam Reardon
Millie Court and Liam Reardon hit it off from the get go but went through a rough patch following Casa Amor. However Liam managed to win Millie around and they won the seventh season.
