I’m A Celeb stars ‘receiving secret luxuries’ despite ‘toughest’ series claims 😱

It seems life in camp is cushier than it looks for the likes of Danny Miller and Naughty Boy

Fans have been left furious after it was reported that I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!contestants have been receiving a "secret supply of luxuries".

While some celebrities have apparently been offered hot water for a relaxing bath, those who smoke have been given cigarettes and time outside of the Gwyrch Castle camp to light up.

Sorry, what?

When the celebs arrived at camp, viewers were told that to get hot water they must keep their boiler burning and work hard to stoke the flames with wood, but according to The Sun, it’s all controlled by a switch and celebs don’t need to lift a finger.

Despite this Emmerdale actor Danny Miller, has been complaining how cold it is in the Clink (the castle’s second camp) and insisted there were "icicles" coming from the shower.

Could the camp mates be playing up to the cameras?

"The castle itself is really cold, but the shower does get warm enough to be more than comfortable to wash in," the source said. "There are certainly no icicles forming on the shower head as mentioned. Bosses can flick the hot water on in a second, just like your average punter can with their boiler at home."

It was also reported that Danny, along with footballer David Ginola, and music producer Naughty Boy, have all been allowed out of the castle to smoke.

The source continued, "All of the tasks they have to do in order to ‘fire up’ the boiler are just for show. The producers decide when the water is hot or cold. The campmates don’t have to put a single log on the fire if they don’t want. They’d still get warm water if bosses press the button.

"They only turn it on once they’ve decided the contestants have done enough. The castle is certainly no holiday camp, but the stars are being afforded much more luxury than the viewers are told."

When it came to the cigarettes the source continued, "As for the cigs, you’d have thought the celebrities had been stranded on a desert island the way they clamour for them.

"Danny was asking for one within an hour of the entrance trial ending. David had two smokes in less than an hour. When they ran out he asked for another pack. Naughty Boy has been smoking too."

It seems that it’s not just the camp that’s letting the contestants off easy, the trials also have a bit of added secret luxury this year. Before each trial, the contestants can apparently take some time to relax and warm up in a heated Portakabin.

Both Frankie Bridge and Richard Madeley were reported to have enjoyed some time in the comfort and warmth before they competed in the "Turrets Of Terror".

But in fact, some secret luxuries shouldn’t come as a massive surprise after host Ant McPartlin revealed last year that the stars complained constantly about the show’s new cold location except for the "warm showers".

He said to the publication, "We’ve spoken to them down at trials and we said, ‘Is it cold in there?’ and they said it’s that cold that you never, ever get warm.

"Even at night, it’s in your bones. You know when you’ve been out all day walking and you’re cold . . . it’s like that. Day in, day out."

Tension between Arlene and David? ©ITV

Despite the celebs only having been in the castle for a few days, fans already think they notice some tension between two – on the first day.

During a task where the celebs worked in teams, fans were convinced they noticed tension brewing between former Strictly judge Arlene Phillips and football legend David Ginola.

Arlene declared, "The red team don’t have a cha-cha-chance with me around," leaving David baffled and things only got worse from there. David and Arlene failed to work together, leaving it clear for their rivals Kadeena Cox and Matty Lee to win.

One viewer commented, "David and Arlene are gonna have beef I'm calling it #ImACeleb."

Another tweeted, "David trying not to lose patience with Arlene #ImACeleb," while a third wrote, "David looks so done with Arlene already."
