Why was Jake Cornish not at the Love Island reunion?

Was he really sick? 👀

Jake Cornish Love Island reunion

Despite making it all the way to the final week of the ITV2 dating show with girlfriend Liberty Poole (before their dramatic split and subsequent exit, that is), viewers were left surprised after Jake Cornish failed to make an appearance at the Love Island reunion last night.

At the start of the show, host Laura Whitmore revealed that Jake wouldn’t be joining them saying, “So, sadly Jake can’t be with us this evening as he isn’t feeling very well. But get well soon and sending you lots of love.”

Despite Laura’s claims, fans are convinced that Jake had ulterior motives for his no show and took to Twitter to voice them with one saying, “Lool Jake we know you ain’t sick,” while another said, “Jake didn’t want to face the music!!!”

We’re not sure who to believe…

Faye Winter and Teddy Soares feud

Following the Mad Movies challenge that showed Teddy talking to Casa Amor bombshell Clarisse Juliette, Faye Winter was left furious. For the majority of the following episode, that was an hour-long, Faye was shouting at Teddy, Matthew MacNabb and even Dale Mehmet. As a result of the showdown, Ofcom received a record number of 24,763 complaints from viewers.

The heartbreaking truth behind Mary Bedford and Aaron Simpson's split

Whilst Jake and Liberty’s relationship is over, with no hope of a reconciliation anytime soon, Liam Reardon and Millie Court’s relationship seems to be going from strength to strength with the two planning to move in together.

In a recent interview, Millie admitted that they changed their minds about living with their fellow Love Islanders and wanted to spend time together saying, “I think that would be a bit of a mad house! When you’re in the villa, everyone’s like yeah let’s all move in, girls, boys..."

Liam added, “That was the plan. Now we’ve come out and we’ve [Millie and I] spent five days apart, and I know it’s only five days, but you realise that you don’t want to be apart.

“I think we’re going to be so busy with work that we want to have our own home to go back to together."

We may have had our doubts about Liam and Millie but we can’t deny that they’re super cute together.
