Six months ago, Love Island 2016 star Katie Salmon warmed the hearts of her 267,000 Instagram followers by announcing that she had given birth to a beautiful baby girl. Alongside some adorable snaps, Katie wrote on Instagram, “am officially a Mummy!!!!🥺🐯💕✨… Universe thank you for the greatest gift alive. My beautiful baby daughter.”
The series two Islander also revealed the unusual baby name for her daughter. She said, “We welcomed our beautiful baby girl into this magical world. Thaiga Dean (pronounced Tiger) 🐯”.
Sadly, several of these cutesy maternal posts have since been culled from the influencer's socials as six months after giving birth, Katie has split with her fiancé and the father of her child, Harry, according to The Sun. She has deleted every trace of Harry from her Instagram; including snaps from their gender reveal party and Harry's birthday party.
Katie is yet to speak out regarding the specific reasons for the split, although she did share a few words on her Instagram Story recently, giving fans an insight into her current mindset.
She wrote, "Everything has changed for me since having my little girl. It's been one of the hardest most beautiful journeys.
"I didn't know I had it in me to go through everything I have this year. Women are super heroes idgaf.
"The reward is her precious smile and health."
Katie continues, "I've settled for way less than I deserve from so many people because I never really respected who I was or what my worth is.
"My loyalty, love and energy is unmatched. The change has been intense yet so eye opening.
"I've had to mourn someone who once was and allow for the new me to come in. If you can't respect my growth, then you don't deserve to be at our table.
"Changes coming for me is exciting so if your struggling know that as painful as it is, it really is here to help you evolve [sic]."
In a separate post, Katie wrote, "I love seeing people recover from messed up situations to end up getting the success, love and bliss they deserve."
