Love Island 2016 cast – where are they now?

**Zara Holland - entered on day one, chose to leave on day 22

Zara Holland entered the villa on day one, as one of the five OG girls and originally coupled up with Scott Thomas before he dumped her for bombshell Kady McDermott. Zara then coupled up with Daniel Lukakis and Adam Maxted before quitting the villa on day 22.

Zara left the show after finding out that her mum had been hospitalised just days after she was stripped of her Miss GB title for having sex with Alex Bowen. At the time, she said, "I'm so sad to leave the villa but it's important for me to get home and spend time with my mum while she gets better. I've had the time of my life on Love Island and would like to thank all of my fellow Islanders and the production team for all their support.”

These days, Zara runs her own boutique called Mimi Boutique. Zara announced her engagement to long-term boyfriend Elliot Love, shortly after he popped the question during a romantic trip to Dubai earlier this year. According to reports, Elliot got down on one knee and asked Zara to marry him when they vacayed in the UAE in January and the pair hosted a swanky engagement party to celebrate with their nearest and dearest in February 2022. In July 2023, Zara and Elliot tied the knot.

Malin Andersson – entered on day one, dumped on day 25

Malin Andersson entered the villa a make-up artist, making it clear from day one that she was looking for a "a man, not a boy". She starred on ITV's Take Me Out four years before Love Island but kept turning her light off because she was "way too fussy". After getting together with Terry Walsh, Malin was dumped from the island. She then dramatically came back in to confront Terry after he then got with Emma Jane Woodhams. What a time.

In June 2018, The Sun Online revealed that Malin was expecting a baby with Tom Kemp. On New Year's Day 2019 Malin revealed that she had sadly given birth to her daughter prematurely. Malin went on to become a motivational speaker and release a self-help book and her own podcast. In 2022, Malin took to Instagram to share the exciting news that she and her partner had welcomed a daughter called Xaya.

**Cara De La Hoyde - entered on day one, WINNER (day 45)

Prior to entering and winning Love Island,Cara De La Hoyde was an international circus performer. Cara got together with Nathan Massey on day one and stayed together until they were crowned winners of series 2. This was a true Love Island love story.

Cara De La Hoyde - where is she now?

Cara and Nathan left as a couple, but in April 2017 the pair split. They reunited once again after Cara fell pregnant with their first child, Freddie, and married in summer 2019. They welcome their second child, Delilah, in 2020. These days, the icons are together and stronger than ever and Cara is living her best life. She is also co-owner of Embroidery By FJ.

**Sophie Gradon - entered on day one, walked out day 39
**

Prior to taking part in Love Island 2016, Sophie Gradon won the title of Miss Great Britain In 2009. She coupled up with Tom Powell, then Katie Salmon after he left. Sophie ended up leaving the show to be with Tom after getting together with Katie Salmon. She was the show's first ever LGBTQ+ contestant. Tragically, Sophie passed away at her parents house on 20 June 2018 at age 32. After an inquest, it was found that she had died after taking her own life.

**Olivia Buckland – entered on day one, RUNNER-UP
**

Olivia Buckland got together with Alex Bowen on the show (after the Zara incident) and they came runners-up on the show, after Cara and Nathan.

**Olivia Bowen – where is she now?
**
Well, for starters, she's now called Olivia Bowen. Olivia and Alex are the definition of relationship goals, because they became the first couple on the show to get married. On 31 December, Alex surprised Olivia and proposed to her as a serious commitment to her. And they celebrated the New Year as each other's fiancées. Nearly two years after getting engaged, the couple got married in September 2018, and went on to release their own TV series on TLC called Olivia and Alex: Happily Ever After, after releasing a one-off special Olivia and Alex Said Yes in 2018. In June 2022, they welcomed their first child into the world.
Work-wise Olivia keeps herself busy renovating her gorgeous home and sharing pics on @thebowenhome on Instagram. She also runs an equestrian Instagram account, showing off her horse, Dolly. She has also launched a property empire with Alex. In summary: she's bossing it.

**Scott Thomas – entered on day one, 3RD PLACE
**

Scott Thomas' brothers Adam and Ryan Thomas are huge soap stars, so Scott took part in Love Island to "do it on his own". He got together with Kady McDermott on the show, but the pair split up in 2017.

These days, Scott is owning his 'zaddy' status as well as bossing life as the Director of PR company, The Social PR, and co-founder of health brand, Food4Thoughts. He also has a podcast called Learning As I Go. He is now working on a career as a presenter.

**Tom Powell – entered on day one, DUMPED on day 33
**

Tom Powell got together with Sophie Gradon on the show, but was voted off the Island on day 33. Poor Tom.

These days, Tom is a successful lifestyle coach and bodybuilder. In April 2022, the Love Island 2016 took to social media to share a video of himself having open surgery on his chest. Ever the oversharer, Tom livestreamed (a whole hour and sixteen minutes) of himself getting gyno removal surgery.

**Nathan Massey – entered on day one, WINNER
**

Nathan Massey, a carpenter from Essex, entered the villa on Day 1 and was crowned the winner alongside his now wife Cara De La Hoyde on Day 45.

Nathan went on to marry and have two babies with his Love Island queen (and ours), Cara De La Hoyde. These days, Nathan is an influencer, off-and-on carpenter and the most adorable daddy. He is also an avid golfer.

**Rykard Jenkins – entered on day one, chose to leave on day 15

Personal trainer and aesthetic practitioner Rykard Jenkins walked out of the show after Rachel Felton – who he was coupled up with – was voted out.

**Rykard Jenkins – where is he now?

In 2017, Rykard went on to star in Ibiza Weekender season 6. He is now Aesthetic Practitioner & Director of Rejuvenation Clinic. He's also the cousin of Love Island 2023 winter star Lana Jenkins.

**Kady McDermott – entered on day three, 3RD PLACE
**
Kady McDermott entered the villa on day three as a bombshell. She reached the final of Love Island alongside her now ex-boyfriend Scott Thomas.

Since Love Island, Kady has stayed firmly in the reality TV world, having enjoyed a stint on TOWIE. She also dated axed TOWIE star Myles Barnett. They couple bought a house together and sparked engagement rumours before announcing their split after dating on and off since 2019. As well as being busy as a model and influencer, Kady returned to the Love Island 2023 villa.

**Adam Maxted - entered on day 11, 4TH PLACE
**
Adam Maxted entered the villa a 24-years old personal trainer from Belfast on day 11 and made it all the way to the final with Katie Salmon. He was renowned for his spats with love interests Katie Salmon and Liana Isadora Van Riel.

**Alex Maxted – where is he now?

Alex and Katie split almost immediately after exiting the villa. Adam is still as HENCH as ever, but he’s now a silver fox (ish). Adam is also a professional wrestler and returned to the villa for the All Stars spin-off in 2024.

**Katie Salmon – entered on day 34, 4TH PLACE
**
Katie Salmon entered the villa a month into the show (34 days to be precise). During her time on Love Island she made history with Sophie Gradon when they coupled up and became the first same sex couple. However when Sophie decided to leave the show, Katie decided to recouple with Adam Maxted and the pair came in fourth place.

Katie split from Adam almost immediately after exiting the Love Island villa. Katie has since dated Danielle Whittaker - but the pair split months later. These days she is an influencer and mum to daughter, Thaiga.

Emma Jane Woodham – entered on day 27, DUMPED on day 41

Emma-Jayne Woodham entered the villa during week 3, just two days after Malin Andersson was booted from the show, and instantly coupled up with Terry Walsh. Despite Malin warning Terry that Emma-Jayne was "mugging him off and playing a massive game", they had sex on TOP of the covers and they left the villa together in a relationship.

Eight months after their ITV stint and Emma-Jayne and Terry called it quits but Tez insisted they were "good friends". Five months after their break-up, Emma-Jayne reunited with her ex-boyfriend Jordan Bye and revealed they were expecting their first child together. Unfortunately, things were not to last and weeks after welcoming her baby boy Alfie into the world, Emma-Jayne announced she'd split from her baby daddy. Now, Emma-Jayne has a new beau, who she appears to be very loved-up with.

Terry Walsh – entered on day 3, DUMPED on day 41

Terry Walsh joined the original Islanders on day three and hit it off with Malin. Despite their highs and lows, Malin thought they'd last, but two days after she was booted from the villa he moved on to Emma-Jayne... A couple of the girls called Terry out (Malin, who re-entered the villa to confront, also slammed him) but that didn't stop his budding new relationship. Before leaving the show, Terry and Emma had sex on TV and in front of their fellow Islanders who were awake. Because that's how 2016 did it.

**Terry Walsh – where is he now?
**

Terry and Emma-Jayne's relationship lasted eight months which is pretty long compared to some of the Love Island 2018 couples relationships. Following their split, Terry seems to have kept up with his fitness routine. He shares a daughter – called Talia Rene Rose – with his partner, Danielle Purdy.

**Adam Jukes – entered on day 34, DUMPED on day 41
**

Before going on Love Island waaaaay back in 2016, Adam Jukes was a recruitment consultant. He started the show on good terms because the viewers actually voted for him to go into the villa. While there he coupled up with Lauren Whiteside but things ended shortly after they left the show. He is currently expecting a baby with his partner Megan and recently announced that he was teetotal.

**Lauren Whiteside – entered on day 37, DUMPED on day 41
**

Lauren Whiteside joined the villa on day 37 - literally five weeks in - and coupled up with Adam. Unfortunately, things didn't last long between the pair and they split shortly after leaving the villa.

Following her stint on Love Island 2016, Lauren has travelled and shared tonnes of pictures from her time abroad on Instagram. She's also in a relationship and has shared snaps alongside her partner on social media, who she married in 2022.

**Tina Stinnes – entered on day 20, DUMPED on day 40
**

Tina Stinnes entered the villa and after she took Scott Thomas on a date, she instantly got on the wrong side of Kady McDermott who screamed at her (as she was heading out on her date), "You're a c--t and your dress is SH*T!" Tina moved on to Adam Maxted but during a recoupling he choose Katie Salmon over her and it was the end of the road for Tina.

**Tina Stinnes – where is she now?
**

Since leaving Love Island, Tina returned to Made in Chelsea (she starred on the show in the seventh series and dated Spencer Matthews) and started seeing Alik Alfus. She then dated footballer Marouane Fellaini and Jackson Mawhinney. She is co-founder of sustainable swimewear brand, Litora.

**Oliver Maxwell Fernandez – entered on day 30, DUMPED on day 31 (ouch)

It's literally been years and we're still gutted we only got 24 hours with this hunk of hunks. Poor Oliver Maxwell Fernandez was only in the villa for one day after he failed to couple up with someone.

**James Khan – entered on day 18, DUMPED on day 20
**

James Khan was only in the show for a few days but after Kady McDermott rejected him, his time on the ITV reality show was quickly up.

He may have only been on the show for a week but James has over 152k followers on Instagram which is quite a lot considering he was on the show back in 2016. He regularly posts topless photos, he shares his fitness and diet plans and has an Only Fans page. From the looks of his Linktree he's keeping himself very busy.

Rachel Fenton – entered on day 7, DUMPED on day 15

Rachel Fenton joined the villa on day seven and fell for Rykard Jenkins but she was left devo when Caroline Flack revealed he got 'intimate' with Olivia Buckland the day AFTER they spent in the hideaway. Despite the slight hiccup in their relationship they made a go of things again but were dealt another setback when the viewers voted Rachel off the show.

**Rachel Fenton – where is she now?
**

After she was booted from the island, Rachel was left in tears but luckily Rykard was quick to follow after her and the pair continued their relationship outside of the villa. Rachel and Rykard lasted almost a year and a half which is VERY long considering they met on a TV show. Rachel has since returned to her day job as a trauma and orthopaedic nurse. The blonde beauty is now in a loved-up relationship with her new partner and living in Dubai.

**Javi Shephard - entered on day 1, DUMPED on day 6
**

Javi was the first contestant to leave the Love Island villa back in 2016 (bless him) after he failed to couple up with someone. Remember he begged Zara to choose him but she opted for Daniel instead?

After leaving the villa, Javi threw shade at all the girls on the show by saying he was "too cultured" for them. Judging by his Instagram account he's found a lady who likes to travel and see the rest of the world. They appear to have met shortly after he left the villa back in 2016.

**Malia Arkian – entered on day 7, REMOVED on the same day
**

Malia Arkian was in the villa for literally a day. ONE DAY. She took Scott Thomas on a date but things kicked off when Kady McDermott "accidentally" split wine on her legs. The pair started a screaming match and it wasn't long before Malia shoved Kady. She was escorted out of the villa by security.

**Troy Frith – entered on day 30, DUMPED on day 37
**

Troy - who previously dated Geordie Shore's Marnie Simpson - was definitely a blink and you'll miss it contestant. He didn't even get a chance to know Katie Salmon before he was kicked off the show by Lauren Whiteside. Bless him.

**Daniel Lukakis – entered on day one, DUMPED on day 15
**

Daniel was an original Love Island cast member and at first he coupled up with Olivia Buckland but when that fizzled out he got together with Zara Holland. It wasn't to last and two weeks into the show he was booted from the island.

**Liana Isadora Van Riel - entered on day 20, DUMPED on day 33
**

Liana was a stripper before going into the villa and just days into her stint she slammed Adam Maxted for his out of date comments on how he would, "Bang her and then choose Tina." She later coupled up with Adam but they were separated when they were voted, by the rest of the contestants, as one of the weakest couples. Liana and Tom Powell then received the fewest votes from the public and left the island.
