We can’t be the only ones that have serious Love is Blind UK withdrawals right now. It’s not even been a week since the second series ended, but we’re already missing all the drama – and there was plenty of it.
One of the most explosive moments of the season was when Megan Jupp spilled the tea on Javen Palmer’s wild night out in Manchester to his bride-to-be Katisha Atkinson, which resulted in her calling off the wedding and leaving the experiment before Javen, Megan and her future husband Kieran Homes-Darby had a fiery confrontation.
The feud kicked off again at the reunion, with Javen still insisting that he hadn’t done anything wrong, so when Kieran and Megan paid a visit to heat Towers for a post-season debrief earlier this week, we had to ask them where they stand with Javen now.
Ever the diplomat, Kieran told us, ‘I get on well with Jav, I’ve always got on well with Jav. We’ve squashed any beef that there potentially could have been. We’re really cool with each other, we always will be.
‘We really like everyone on the show as individuals. Obviously when you brought people together, it didn’t quite work out and Meg obviously called out some behaviour that I backed because I saw it as well and it wasn’t good behaviour.’
He continued, ‘But that doesn’t mean I don’t like Jav. I think he’s a great guy and I hope he finds someone who makes more sense for him. Likewise with Katisha.’
Megan added, ‘I always liked Jav from day dot and I never wanted to be put in the situation where I’d have to talk to him about his behaviours and talk to Katisha because she wasn’t there.
‘It wasn’t ideal for me either to be put in that situation, but I was always going to stick up for Katisha. We’re not going to be best friends [with Javen], but that’s fine. You don‘t have to be best friends with everyone.’
Wise words, indeed.
