Just days ahead of the first ever live show of Little Mix: The Search, with host Chris Ramsey and band members Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jesy Nelson, it's been announced the show has been postponed.
Releasing a statement to confirm there's been a small outbreak of COVID-19 on set, BBC bosses said, "We can confirm that a small number of people on the Little Mix The Search production have tested positive for coronavirus and they are now self-isolating following the latest government guidelines."
They continued, “Due to the format of the show we have made the decision to postpone Saturday’s programme.
“There are rigorous protocols in place to manage Covid-19 as the safety of all those involved in the production is paramount.
“We hope to be back on air on Saturday 24 October.”
Although it's understood none of the Little Mix girls have tested positive for Covid-19 themselves, bosses have made the responsible decision to postpone the show until next week in order to allow the infected people to recover.
