Love is Blind UK may be over (well, at least until the second series hits our screens), but the drama is still rumbling on weeks after that explosive reunion episode as the cast are doing interviews, appearing on podcasts and answering fan questions about the show on social media.
As HUGE Love is Blind UK fans, we had to get in on the action here at heatworld and so we hit up one of our favourite couples: Jasmine and Bobby Johnson.
Not only did Jasmine and Bobby reveal why they “didn’t hang out” with the other couples during our chat, but Jasmine also set the record straight on that chat with Ollie Sutherland during the cast’s Greek getaway.
Viewers will remember that Jasmine pulled Ollie up on his behaviour with Demi Brown, reminding him to be open and honest following his conversation with Catherine Richards. However, Ollie didn’t take too kindly to Jasmine’s comments and ended up storming out of the beach club.
Speaking exclusively to heat, Jasmine revealed those scenes were “taken out of context” as she only spoke to Ollie after Demi revealed she wanted to leave the trip.
“A lot of things were taken out of context in that situation. Demi had approached me prior to that conversation that I had with Ollie, saying that she was going to go home. We didn’t have our phones there. I classified Demi as family,” Jasmine explained.
“If someone was to have an opinion on our relationship, I'd happily welcome it. Obviously, the opinion’s coming from somewhere, right? It must come from somewhere. There's no smoke for that fire, so we would welcome it.”
She continued, “Whether I take that on board, that's up to me, and whether Demi or Ollie took that on board. That's up to them. I can't speak for them.”
Jasmine’s husband Bobby added, “I think even if the delivery was slightly strong, I think that we can see after Greece that Demi and Ollie actually do get a lot closer and I think it probably did sort of open up a lot more communication in their relationship.
“Whether the delivery was as it should have been or not, I think in the end it probably did bring them a bit closer.”
