If you need a new dating show in your life now that Love Island is over until the next series All Stars then you’re in luck, as the first four episodes of Love is Blind UK season two have just dropped on Netflix and they’re GREAT.

The show sees a bunch of singletons get to know their potential love interests without seeing what they look like as they can only chat in pods. They only meet each other for the first time when they decide to get engaged, which – obviously – can (and does) go completely and utterly wrong.

One of the new cast members we’ve been getting to know is businessman Kieran Holmes-Darby, who it turns out is a MILLIONAIRE.

On the show, Kieran revealed that he works in tech and gaming and confessed to being ‘a bit of a nerd’ but it seems he played down his job a little bit as he’s super successful.

When he was just 19 years old, he launched an Esports company called Excel with his brother. The brand went on to become one of Britain’s most successful Esports teams in League of Legends and Fortnite.

In 2023, Excel combined with Spanish company Giants Gaming to form the GIANTX brand, which is HUGE. Kieran has since joined sports and gaming creative agency Ear to the Ground, where he works a business director.

Oh, and if you’re wondering what Esports actually is, it’s basically gamers playing competitively – and there’s big money in it.

Excel has been estimated to be worth millions since 2014, which means that Kieran is a millionaire. He’s also a Mensa member and once appeared on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.

‘Kieran Holmes-Darby is putting U.K. esports on the map. His Excel team started as a university dorm room hobby now competes in Fortnite and League of Legends with a squad of 30 players,’ his Forbes profile reads.

It continues, ‘Having brought in ambassadors like England footballer Dele Alli, Holmes-Darby is nurturing some of the U.K.’s top gaming talent including 16-year-old pro Fortnite player Jaden ‘Wolfiez’ Ashman.’

Kieran has also previously appeared on TV as his Esports journey featured in the BBC Three series Fight for First: EXCEL SPORTS.
