Following on from the exciting news that Home Alone would be remade for Disney's new streaming platform, the star of the original film, Macaulay Culkin, has revealed his reaction to the news.
Macaulay, who was just eight-years-old when he starred in the iconic Christmas film, has taken to Twitter to share a photo of what an 'updated Home Alone would actually look like'.
In the photo, Macaulay, who is now 38-years-old, can be seen sitting on a brown sofa, on his laptop with take away boxes strewn around him as he rubs his belly. For those with an eagle-eye, there's even an N64 controller on the floor!
The actor then followed up his photo by tweeting Disney saying, 'Hey @Disney, call me'.
Although fans of the original film seemed divided over the idea of a reboot, they loved Macaulay's photo, with one saying, 'Now the image is complete' and another tweeting, 'I’m ok with this'.
A reboot of Home Alone was announced yesterday when Disney's chief executive Bob Iger said they would be remaking a number of classic films, describing them as "reimaginations".
Disney, who recently broke their own box office record, have also announced they will be remaking Night at the Museum, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Cheaper By the Dozen for Disney+, due to be launched in the UK next year.
This isn't the first time that the actor has recreated scenes from the film, just last Christmas he recreated some of the Home Alone's iconic scenes. In the video, 'Kevin' can be seen realising he is home alone, but the scenes are brought into the present day with the help of Google Assistant. Take a look below...
Disney+ is expected to have 7,500 TV episodes and 400 films when it launches.
