Cameron Merchant has opened up about how much the Married at First Sightproducers really steer the cast... and it seems they asked him to play up some things in his relationship with Jules Robinson.

Yep, speaking about the development of their 'marriage' throughout the course of the show, Cam revealed that as soon as he told producers he was falling for Jules, they "urged" him to tell her he loved her.

Apart from that, the couple claimed that pretty much everything else was real, despite co-star Jessika Power alleging otherwise.
Indeed, stirring the pot, Jessika told Metro that she thought "they were together before the show."
She said, "They never had one fight, they never had one disagreement, they never had anything.
"MAFS hadn’t had a successful couple story in a very, very long time. I feel that they needed to have that, so I think what they’ve done is they found a couple that were already together."
The plot THICKENS.
Slamming the scathing accusation, Jules told The Times that it certainly wasn't love at first sight when she met Cameron.
"Cam wasn’t someone I’d have looked at twice in the street," she said, before adding that they would have to have been "bloody good actors" to fake their on-screen chemistry.
