Remember CITV show My Parents Are Aliens? Well, we've been thinking about it a lot lately. We're not entirely sure why, but we reckon it might be our craving for a simpler time. A time when our biggest worry in life was whether we wanted fish fingers and peas or Turkey Twizzlers (RIP) for tea.
Anyway, have you ever wondered what the cast might be up to now? Like, what on Earth's spiky-haired Josh Barker doing with himself? And what about that oh-so-controversial switch of Sophie Johnson back in series three? Where are both of those actresses now?
LET'S FIND OUT.
Check out what the cast of My Parents Are Aliens look like now...
My Parents Are Aliens cast: Where are they now?
Alex Kew (Josh Barker) then
Josh was just the coolest kid, wasn't he? We're 99% sure a hefty chunk of Yorkshire Television's budget went on wet look gel, but it was totally worth it.
Alex Kew (Josh Barker) now
Alex is now a musician and joined a band called The Wutars back in 2009. Oh, and he had a reunion with his on-screen father Tony Gardner at Glastonbury 2017. Incredible. These days, Alex mainly works as a solo artist and regularly updates fans on when he's gigging on social media.
Charlotte Francis (Lucy Barker) then
Clearly the most academic of the Barker children, Lucy was a bit of a know-it-all. Still managed to rock the pink cardi and yellow tights combo, though.
Charlotte Francis (Lucy Barker) now
Charlotte also starred in The Mrs. Bradley Mysteries and Office Gossip hasn't appeared on TV since My Parents Are Aliens ended in 2006, instead choosing to focus on her studies. Such a Lucy Barker move, babes.
Danielle McCormack (Mel Barker)
The oldest Barker sibling, Mel Barker, was the edgy-and-alternative one we always wanted to be. Like, she had a bloody nose piercing and everything.
Danielle McCormack (Mel Barker) now
Danielle McCormack is now in her late thirties (we are OLD) and, much like co-star Alex, went into the music industry, writing a number of songs with Killing Joke's Geordie Walker. She appeared in BBC drama Doctors in 2010 and has also starred in Where The Heart Is and Casualty.
Tony Gardner (Brian Johnson) then
Our greatest memory of father figure Brian is that he grew moose ears whenever he ate ice cream. Casual.
Tony Gardner (Brian Johnson) now
Tony Gardner's since appeared as lecturer Tony Shales in Fresh Meat_,_ as Sarah Lancashire's husband in Last Tango in Halifax and also starred with Peter Capaldi in political drama The Thick Of It. Two years ago, Tony went viral when a video of him living it up in a leopard print suit at Glastonbury surfaced online.
Barbara Durkin (Sophie Johnson) then
Remember the original Sophie? Well actress Barbara Durkin has continued her career in telly, popping up in everything from Doctors to My Family.
Carla Mendonca (Sophie Johnson) then
We're not gonna lie, our world was turned UPSIDE DOWN when Carla Mendonca replaced Barbara as Sophie in series three with very little in the way of an explanation. WTF?
Carla Mendonca (Sophie Johnson) now
As well as a lengthy kids TV career in CBBC shows My Dad's the Prime Minister, Dani's House, Scoop and So Awkward, Carla's appeared in Roman's Empire alongside Chris O'Dowd and Matthew Horne. She also recently shocked Coronation Street fans when she popped up in the ITV soap as the new Deputy Head of Weatherfield High.
Stephanie Fearon (Harry) then
Harry was adopted into the Barker family as a replacement for Mel.
Stephanie Fearon (Harry) now
Remember that prime time Saturday night show Over the Rainbow that set out to find the next Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz? Stephanie finished in fourth place, just ahead of Stephanie Davis who she managed to knock out in the sing-off. She's gone on to have a successful theatre career, with roles in the likes of Mamma Mia, Aladdin and Rent.
Olisa Odele (CJ) then
Also adopted into the family, Olisa joined the cast as CJ in series six.
Olisa Odele (CJ) now
Since the show, Olisa's graduated from Brit school and appeared in comedy show Chewing Gum. Later this month, the former child star is releasing a song called Never Change, which he describes as "Pop R&B, Sezy Harmonic, vocal stacked bedroom floor music."

Why did My Parents Are Aliens end?
Honestly, it's a question we've been thinking about for a while now. Why, oh why did My Parents Are Aliens - one of the greatest kids TV shows of all time - have to come to an end?
Well, it turns out that the show abruptly ended in 2006, after seven years on our screens as ITV closed down their in-house production of children's shows. Boo.
After the eighth and final series came to an end, Nickelodeon bought rights to make an American edition of the show which focused on, much like the UK series, an alien family (called The Jonses instead of the Johnsons) who adopted the three Bishop (instead of Barker) siblings; Samantha (Sam), Brad (Josh) and Shelly (Lucy). However, the show was later scrapped before they'd even filmed a single episode.
