Love is Blind UK finally made its debut on Netflix earlier this month, introducing us to 30 singletons all hoping to find love in the pods. We expected plenty of drama, given how chaotic the US version of the show can be, and it’s fair to say that the UK series has well and truly delivered.
One of the biggest storylines so far has been the love triangle between Nicole Stevens, Sam Klein and Benaiah Grunewald Brydie. Nicole sparked connections with both of fellas in the pods and despite some major red flags, she eventually decided to pie off Benaiah and get engaged to Sam. Yep, we were all screaming at our tellies too.
If you’ve been watching Love is Blind and think you’ve seen her on TV before, you’re not wrong as it turns out that this isn’t her first rodeo.
Nicole first tried her hand at TV fame three years ago when she appeared on Channel 4’s Come Dine With Me back in August 2021.
The show was filmed during the pandemic, which meant that the contestants hosted their dinner parties at a large house provided by the show rather than welcoming their guests to their own homes.
Nicole’s dinner party was hosted in Basingstoke and she served her guests a three course meal which included a main of curried lamb.
As well as putting together a slap-up meal, Nicole provided the entertainment herself. After opening up about being in a band when she was a teenager, Nicole belted out a rendition of Whitney Houston’s classic I Will Always Love You.
Although her vocals didn’t quite match up to Whitney, Nicole’s guests praised her singing. One said, “You killed that, I was not expecting that of you.”
But despite receiving good feedback, Nicole ended up finishing in fourth place out of five. Still, she seemed to take it in her stride, telling the cameras, “I gave it my best shot, at least I’m not Adam [who came last].”
Nicole isn’t the only Love is Blind UK star who’s appeared on TV before as Bobby Johnson previously appeared on gameshow Moneyball – where he won £13,000 – and Freddie Powell once made a cameo on The Real Housewives of Cheshire as a butler in the buff.
