It might have taken them a bit longer than the others to get engaged, but Love is Blind UK’s Nicole Stevens and Benaiah Grunewald Brydie are one of only two couples that are still together to this day.
Things didn’t get off to the best start when Nicole dumped Benaiah to pursue things with Sam Klein, but she soon realised the error of her ways and called things off with Sam after that awkward first meet before reconnecting with Benaiah and getting engaged to him.
Throughout their time on the show, Benaiah clashed with Sam as he believed that his love rival wasn’t really on the show on to find The One and had ulterior motives. But how do Nicole and Benaiah feel about Sam a year after the show was filmed?
The loved-up pair recently paid us a visit at heat Towers and it seems like they’re still not sure whether Sam appeared on the show for the right reasons.
“So, based off everything that I’ve now seen on the show, and based off everything I’ve seen off camera as well, I don’t necessarily think that the way he treated me implied that he was there for love or for me alone,” Nicole explained.
“There’s a lot of things he said and did off camera, stuff that wasn’t shown, that I think would give people a very clear bigger picture,” Benaiah added.
Sam recently opened up about his relationship with Nicole, revealing his side of why they broke up.
Speaking about what happened after they got engaged, he said, “We had a cheeky Nando's, she spoke to my parents on the phone, and I was like, ‘Dad, look, you know, this is bizarre, but I guess I've got a fiancée’.
“I spoke to her sister on the phone, we were all FaceTiming. We went out for dinner with other cast members from the show, we had a great time… but there was no chemistry there. It was more like friends.”
He told The Sun, “We didn't know what to do, really. I guess no one would know what to do in that situation because it's so bizarre.”
