In their 2023 docuseries, At Home With The Furys, we fell in love with Tyson and Paris Fury, so the boxer’s revelation last week that they had lost their eighth child – a boy – when his wife was six months pregnant, saddened everyone.

Tyson, 36, revealed in an interview that Paris, 34, didn’t immediately tell him the news back in May, as he was in Saudi Arabia preparing for his heavyweight title fight against Oleksandr Usyk, 37, and she didn’t want to pull his focus from the important match.

However, he revealed that he suspected something was wrong when Paris didn’t fly out to Riyadh to support him. ‘When she said she couldn’t come over, I knew there was a problem. She usually comes out on fight week, but she said she had high blood pressure. I said to my brother, “She’s lost the baby.” She never told me she had, but I knew.’

Tyson – who is the older brother of fellow boxer Tommy Fury, 25 – married Paris back in November 2008, and the pair have gone on to have seven children: Venezuela, 15, Prince John James, 13, Prince Tyson II, eight, Valencia Amber, six, Prince Adonis Amaziah, five, Athena, three, and Prince Rico Paris, one.

Although he understood Paris’ reasons for keeping the painful news to herself, Tyson said he deeply regretted not being home with his wife at the time. ‘I could not be there for her in that moment and that is tough for me. To go through that on your own, that isn’t good,’ he said.

Sadly, this isn’t the couple’s first heartbreak. Paris previously had a miscarriage at eight weeks in 2018, and similarly didn’t tell her husband until he had won his comeback match against Sefer Seferi, 45. She also gave birth to a stillborn baby in 2014.

Now, Tyson says he’s not sure what the future holds, revealing, ‘Will we have any more kids? I don’t know if she’s back to normal from that.

‘It was only a few months ago – it takes a lot of getting over.’
