It’s only been a matter of months since the absolutely iconic second series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK came to an end and Lawrence Chaney took home the crown, but there’s exciting news for fans of the show (so, basically all of us then) as it’s been confirmed that it will return for a third series THIS YEAR.
That’s right, us lucky lot get two series in 12 months as legendary drag queen RuPaul crosses the pond once again to look for the UK’s next Drag Race Superstar.
But just when will Drag Race UK hit our screens? And who will be competing for the crown? Well, here’s everything we know about the show so far…
When does RuPaul’s Drag Race UK series three start?
The official BBC Three Twitter account have announced that series three of Drag Race UK will begin airing this Autumn. It's been confirmed that the show will start in September - which is merely WEEKS away, FYI - although no exact date has been confirmed just yet.
Who are the RuPaul’s Drag Race series three cast?
The full line-up of 12 queens competed for the coveted title of Drag Race UK's next superstar has been revealed.
Viewers will recognise Veronica Green who first appeared on series two and was forced to withdraw from the competition after testing positive for COVID-19. Speaking about returning to the show, the Lancashire queen said, "I'm hoping that as I'm not a newbie, the second time around will give me an advantage. I'm having the time of my life all over again. I love it!"
Meanwhile, for the first time in Drag Race herstory, there will be a cisgender woman competing on the show as Victoria Scone is an AFAB (that stands for assigned female at birth) queen.
She said, "It feels right! I definitely didn't invent the art of drag for women. I am not the first and I certainly won't be the last. But I feel very capable and proud to have made it through the application process and be the first on Drag Race UK.
"Me being here is political but you can just have fun with it. That's why I started. I just wanted to entertain people and that's what we're going to do! Drag can just be fun!"

A special celebrity guest judge usually joins the panel every week, with the likes of Geri Haliwell, Andrew Garfield, Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall, Dawn French and Maya Jama all taking the seat next to RuPaul in the past and the guests are set to be bigger than ever for series three.
Not only are Emma Bunton, Michelle Keegan and Leigh-Anne Pinnock all rumoured to appear as guest judges, it’s also claimed that Sir Elton John will make a special appearance on the show. “Elton is a massive fan of RuPaul and the show, so he was keen to be part of the new season,” a TV insider told The Daily Star.

She told us, “All I’m going to say is, for the first time in Drag Race herstory, something has happened and that goes for US seasons and UK seasons.
“There’s two big things that have never happened in Drag Race. One is with a contestant and one is with what happens with the results.”
A’Whora added, “It’s really very exciting. We’re making history, baby!”
