The Geordie Shore gang are finally returning to our screens and – in true GS fashion – it all centres around a stag do. Kyle Christie’s stag do, to be precise – and both lads and lasses are invited. Sophie Kasaei, 35, sat down with heat to discuss what we can expect from the upcoming show…
You went to Thailand for the new series – how was that?
It was magical. What was hard for us was going back in time – the girls were living in a room with the girls, and the boys were living in a room with the boys, and it was mad having to adapt to that again. Then, when Kyle brought his partner in, he had a word with us, saying, ‘Vicky’s not used to this, so please just look after her.’ Then James’ girlfriend came in, too, so for them, it was so alien. There were times when I said to the girls, ‘It’s alright, I know it’s intense.’ It was like being 18 again.
And you were a bit unwell in Bangkok…
When I first got to Bangkok, I was delirious with jet lag. We’d been filming all day, and we were out until 4am, and I thought, ‘You know what, I’m not 19 any more.’ I said to everyone, ‘I’m going home. I’m absolutely shattered, and I’m not afraid to say it. I need my sleep.’ Otherwise, I’m just the worst person in the world the next day. Then, as soon as I got to bed, I started basically weeing out my bum hole. I had the worst Bangkok Belly. And I’ve seen clips of the cast saying I was worried about Marnie coming, but that is so incorrect. I didn’t even know she was coming, but I’m glad she did, because we sorted things out. We’re so good now. But I was in a really bad way in Bangkok. It’s somewhere I don’t think I’ll ever return.
Was it nice being reunited with Scotty T?
It’s so good to see Scott back on the show, because he can say anything and no one will ever get offended at him. He’ll never get in trouble. He gets away with murder. He just smiles at everyone and we go, ‘Oh, Scott!’ He’s like that little brother that brings everyone together. We just laugh. Even though Scott was so confused, he had no clue about anyone’s lives. He went to Holly, ‘Are you married, are you? Are you not with Kyle any more?’ And she was like, ‘No, I’m married with a child!’
