The secret job that might be helping Joe Scott survive on The Traitors revealed

The Traitors series 3 has not had the smoothest journey as a Faithful thus far

Let's be honest, the cast of The Secret Lives of 5 Year Olds would be a better band of Faithfuls than the current recruits on The Traitors series three.

Fair enough, Traitors Minah and Linda are playing a blindingly good game (well, Minah is, really), playing the Faithfuls like fiddles, but viewers are starting to share Claudia's weekly Faithfuls frustration at the end of each brutal Round Table more than ever, because there's losing, then there's whatever this is.

Naturally, viewers are starting to raise eyebrows at a fair few Faithfuls leading this, well, sh*t show witch hunt. In particular, social media users seem to have a fair few things to say about English teacher Joe Scott, who despite demonstrating endless conviction throughout the show has tripped at virtually every hurdle and spearheaded the banishment of several key Faithfuls – most notably Kasim Ahmed.

Now, to be honest, we kind of like Joe here at heatworld; not because of his Traitor-catching abilities, obviously not, but for bringing a decent amount of drama to the series so far (this is a reality TV show, after all).

You've got to admit, whether he meant to or not, he's helped bring a hefty amount of dramz to series three (which had some big shoes to fill after series two), and after some digging and learning about his secret job, we reckon we now know exactly how he's achieved this and perhaps how he's managed to stay in the game for so long, too.

Joe and the BBC have gone on and on about the fact that Joe is an English teacher IRL, but after a deep dive into his Instagram, heatworld has learned that the series 3 star is also a Drama teacher. Dun. Dun. DUN. Fade to black.

In a grid post from last year, Joe wrote, 'I’ve officially received Qualified Teacher Status! I’m excited to be starting a role in September 🍏 Teaching English and a dash of Drama 🎭.'

We can't think of a better candidate to bring endless drama to a series like The Traitors, can you? Is it not the biggest stage on television right now?

Love him or hate him, huns (although don't hate him – it's just telly), we have a feeling that Joe and his dramatic skills have what it takes to stick around for at least a few more acts, regardless of his success rate sniffing out those Traitors.

And regardless of all of this, heatworld wants to stress that The Traitors is a game and a TV show designed to entertain us. These are all real people living regular lives away from that castle , so think before you type and post on social media. Just ask yourself: is it really that deep?

Where is The Traitors' Joe Scott from?

He lives in Southampton but is originally from Yorkshire.

If he wins, what will The Traitors' Joe Scott spend the prize money on?

He told the BBC, 'I need to learn to drive. I’m nearly 40 and I can’t drive. That would be one of them. I need to learn to drive, I'd love to have a Mini Cooper. My gran had one of the old fashioned Minis and she had to put a peg in the clutch to get it started. That’s one of my early childhood memories. Probably go travelling again during the summer break. I wouldn’t mind owning a pub. I've always said I'd quite fancy being a landlord like Peggy Mitchell, but I don't know anything about pubs other than ordering a pint in them. So, I don't know.'

What has Kasim Ahmed said about Joe Scott since being banished?

Kasim recently took to his Instagram grid to share a snap of him and Joe smiling. He accompanied the post with the following caption, 'What an opportunity, and what amazing support you've all given me! But most of all, as a cast we were a family, together for weeks and made bonds that are unbreakable, and the support and love we have for each other is even greater.

'Joe and Jake may have lead the charge against me in the game, but have been an excellent support in the real world and are some of the loveliest people I've met (and I've met a few!). Remember that all of us are people, and that we all act in different ways under stress. TRAITORS FAMILY FOREVER!!'
