News that the Waterloo Road reboot has finally started filming has got us feeling pretty nostalgic for the original series.
And whilst we can't wait for some of our favourite faces to return like Adam Thomas and maybe even Chelsee Healey, it has got us thinking about those characters we won't be able to see.
Waterloo Road had its fair share of pretty dramatic deaths across the ten series but here is a definitive list of the seven most heartbreaking.
Lorna Dickey
Despite only appearing in the first two series of Waterloo Road, Lorna Dickey had some of the most dramatic stories ever on Waterloo Road which is really saying something.
An English teacher at the school who was married to another English teacher, Tom Clarkson, she committed suicide by overdosing on her multiple sclerosis medication downing a bottle of vodka.
Izzie Redpath
As much as we disliked her for breaking up Lorna and Tom's marriage, Izzie Redpath still holds a special place in our hearts.
The drama teacher at Waterloo Road, she died after being stabbed by Jed Sneddon, the uncle of Lewis Sneddon, whilst trying to break up a fight between him and headmaster Jack Rimmer.
Later, her daughter Chlo Grainger broke our hearts all over again by naming her baby girl after her mum.
Maxine Barlow
One of the more problematic students at Waterloo Road, Maxine Barlow's death in series four was still completely devastating.
Maxine died when Earl Kelly, stabbed her shortly after their break-up and she passed away in the arms of her best friend Janeece and mum-figure Steph.
Sambuca Kelly
Although this death was less surprising that some of the others, the build up to it almost made it seem worse.
After developing severe headaches and ultimately cancer, Sambuca Kelly passed away in series seven having just accepted Tom Clarkson as substitute father and Finn Sharkey as the love of her life.
Pass us the tissues please.
Denzil Kelly
Look at that little face!
As lovable as Denzil Kelly was, he did have a habit of getting into trouble.
Denzil sadly died after being hit by a drunk-driving lorry whilst travelling to Scotland when Waterloo Road closed down.
Tom Clarkson
Everyone's favourite teacher, Tom Clarkson's death was the most devastating of all.
He died accidentally falling off the school building whilst trying to persuade an upset Kyle Stack to come down off the roof.
Grantly Budgen
Beneath Grantly Budgen's savage quips was a heart of gold and when he died of kidney failure, viewers were heartbroken.
